Facebook is allowing its “fact-checking” program to be gamed by political partisans.

@PolitiFact justifies labeling an ad campaign by @approject as “missing context” (and is thereby preventing the ads from running on the platform) by arguing, “we can't predict the future.”
Well, here is one thing about the future that's sure: Facebook's credibility is on the line.
As @KlonKitchen said: This is not a case where there is any ambiguity—PolitiFact is gaming the system for political points and should be suspended from Facebook's fact-checking program.
Facebook should do a complete review of this program if they want conservatives to have any trust going forward.
While Heritage does not endorse or oppose candidates, or otherwise support the content of any ads mentioning candidates, it seems clear Facebook’s fact-checking program is being used to allow censorship on the issue of transgender ideology and its impact on women’s sports.
This incident shows once again that conservatives are held to a different standard.
PolitiFact is abusing its role in Facebook's fact-checking program—something conservatives have been saying for years.
.@JessAnderson2 points out that, “at a time when so many Americans rely on social media for information, I am appalled that Facebook would allow a blatant partisan attack against conservatives under the pretense of 'missing context...'
”...this is clearly an effort to shutter a conservative viewpoint, shared by the majority of Americans, but at odds with left-wing 'fact-checkers.'”

Reminder: Paleoconservatives, neoconservatives, fiscal hawks, social conservatives, libertarians, and more are ALL principal members of the conservative movement—and TOGETHER we are a force that cannot be ignored or dismissed.

“Perhaps the most important fact to assimilate about modern American conservatism is that it is not, and has never been, univocal. It's a coalition with many points of origin and diverse tendencies—not always easy to reconcile...” George Nash
Like those who founded this great nation, we too are willing to risk everything for freedom.

Together, we as a movement can provide the intellect and courage to deliver real answers—and ensure that we will continue to be a nation that holds true to our founding principles.

“The African states calling for the extraordinary measure should have first reflected on how poorly African governments can treat Africans.

Hereditary slavery still exists in Mali, Mauritania, and Niger. People smugglers in Libya auction off black Africans...”
Fourteen of the 18 countries the Global Slavery Index ranks as worst in the world at fighting slavery are African

Child marriage—which the International Labor Organization considers a form of slavery when forced, as it frequently is—is “entrenched” in parts of sub-Saharan Africa
Minorities often fare very poorly in Africa.

People from pygmy tribes are frequently treated as sub-human, and many have been driven from their ancestral lands.

We strongly support new efforts by the British government to reduce and ultimately eliminate #Huawei's role in the development of the UK's 5G network.

A welcome development as governments around the world adopt an increasingly tough stance toward China following #COVID19
We have been at the forefront of urging the British government against giving Chinese companies a stake in its 5G infrastructure.

#Huawei, a de facto state-controlled Chinese enterprise, poses a significant national security risk to the UK and U.S. allies around the world.
Huawei is already deeply embedded in the UK’s telecommunications infrastructure—and giving it a role in the development of Britain's 5G network would be a hugely dangerous move.

COVID-19 was first detected in Wuhan in late November or early December. Chinese authorities reacted by suppressing details of the disease and punishing doctors who tried to alert the public and the world.
China did not inform the WHO about the virus until Dec. 31, weeks after it had detected the disease.

Even after informing the @WHO, Beijing continued to suppress information about human-to-human transmission of the disease.
@WHO The lack of transparency by Beijing directly enabled COVID-19 to spread.

The mayor of Wuhan admitted that as many as 5 million Chinese had left the city before imposition of a lockdown, allowing infected individuals to travel abroad well into January.

.@JJCarafano released the following response to the successful U.S. operation to eliminate Qassem Suleimani and other leading Iranian-affiliated terrorist operatives:
The reported deaths of Iranian General Qassem Suleimani and the Iraqi commander of the militia that killed an American last week was a bold and decisive military action made possible by excellent intelligence and the courage of America’s service members.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), led by Suleimani, was responsible for the deaths of more than 600 Americans in Iraq between 2003-2011, and countless more injured.

He was a chief architect behind Iran’s continuing reign of terror in the region

.@AOC might better lead her party to put more rapists in jail by providing federal funds to help states eliminate the backlog of DNA rape kits that need testing.

For the first time in more than a decade, the House of Representatives has failed to provide those vital funds 👇🏽
@AOC Many sexual assault victims wait months or even years before their kits are tested—if they are ever tested at all.

Many states have backlogs of 10,000 kits or more—and experts say as many as 200,000 untested kits are sitting on shelves in crime labs and police departments.
@AOC Congress passed the Debbie Smith DNA Backlog Elimination Act in 2004—and it received resounding bipartisan support.

The grant program, unanimously reauthorized in 2008 and 2014, makes funds available for both state and local crime labs to reduce backlogs.
