BLOOMINGTON: STABBING reported at the 28th Ave. LRT station - Police en route - Suspect description from witnesses: Black male wearing all black clothing. #Bloomington
The suspect may have run into the parking ramp directly to the east. Police are establishing a perimeter and are requesting a K9 unit to help search.
Police requesting Transit shut down the train station and checking if State Patrol helicopter is available.

Suspect: 30s, black hoodie, black pants, black Adidas sandals.
Police now believe the suspect left the area to the northeast on foot and did not enter the ramp to the east. May have tossed the knife in the garbage.
A suspect was tased by Airport Police and has been taken into custody. Hennepin Crime Lab requested to help process the victim at the hospital and the scene at the 28th Ave. station.

SHAKOPEE: 1195 Ruby Ln. (Scenic Heights Park) - Crews are on scene after a small plane that has crashed in the park. Two occupants of the plane have been critically injured and are being treated by paramedics. Image
The aircraft is believed to be a Piper PA-44-180 Seminole fixed-wing, N2083D, built in 1978 and registered to Thunderbird Aircraft Co. Flight tracking service FlightRadar24 captured the final portion of the flight path before the plane crashed at Scenic Heights Park in Shakopee.

Thunderbird Aviation is a popular flight-training school based at Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie. Official information on the occupants and an update on their extent of injury is not yet available but more details are expected to be released later today.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has confirmed that one of the wounded officers has died. Officer Jamal Mitchell, along with a second officer responded to a report of a double shooting at an apartment building on the 2200 block of Blaisdell Ave. Minneapolis Assistant Police Chief Katie Blackwell says officers were immediately met with gunfire from the suspect. The officers were able to return gunfire, fatally wounding the suspect.
Police say they located two individuals inside the apartment, one with fatal injuries, while another was gravely wounded. A bystander was injured during the exchange of gunfire and is in critical condition. A firefighter was also injured by gunfire but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The second officer is expected to recover.
Officer Mitchell started with the Minneapolis Police Department a year and a half ago, and received a commendation for rescuing an elderly couple from a house fire on just his third day on the job.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is currently investigating the scene.Image

Today two police officers were shot in Minneapolis, one fatally, while responding to a call.

“The law enforcement community is devastated and mourning. Once again, a police officer bravely faced danger and tragically lost his life protecting the community. This officer exemplified unmatched dedication, bravery, and service in defense of the public. Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with his family, friends, and fellow officers as they navigate through this incredibly challenging time. The officer's unwavering commitment to safeguarding others will leave a legacy of service that will always be remembered. We collectively mourn this significant loss and stand in solidarity to support the Minneapolis Police Department," Executive Director Brian Peters said.

WEST ST. PAUL: A driver being pursued by officers just crashed near Robert St. & Annapolis and fled on foot eastbound. The original reason for pursuit was texting-while-driving. The suspect fled eastbound into some woods but was apprehended moments later👇
Medics were requested for the suspect, who was said to have a cut to the forehead. The driver also was reportedly wanted on several outstanding charges including failure to appear, DUI and fleeing in a motor vehicle, among others.

BLOOMINGTON: SHOOTING - Mall of America - Officers are on scene after reports of gunshots heard inside the first level of Nordstrom. Police have found one victim shot and reported that CPR was in progress. Limited suspect information; more officers are responding to the area.
Officers are checking for a possible 2nd gunshot victim. - The mall is reportedly being locked down. - Two suspects described as younger black males wearing all black clothing and black beanies, reportedly fled out of the northwest exit on the first level and were both armed.
Paramedics are reporting one gunshot victim is deceased at the scene. It is still unclear if there was another person injured.
