The situation has become uncertain for the aspirants of #upscprelims2020. One of d aspirants is on her 7th day of hunger strike. Several aspirants visited the UPSC office & submitted their requests. These aspirants tweeting continuously & requesting officials 2 take actions(1/n)
Following are the genuine concerns of #UPSC civil services aspirants for which prelims exam is scheduled on 4th Oct 2020: (2/n)
1.Upsc cse is a multi-stage exam(3 stages:Prelims, Mains & Personality Test). If any one gets infected in prelims stage, his/her preparation for next stage gets hampered which hampers the overall result. #upscprelims2020 (3/n)
2.Due to Covid, poor/rural students are worst affected especially those in flood affected areas. So their fundamental right of Equality of opportunity is hampered & they are distressed about it. These will be the aspirants who will again be affected worst at a later stages...4/n
...If anyone of them gets infected by COVID while travelling & taking Prelims exam on 4th oct. 5/n
3.Many of them have old people at home who are highly vulnerable to covid. If the aspirants get infected by covid during prelims exam, it might as well spread to old people at home & put their life at risk. (6/n)
4. Fundamental Right to Life of aspirants and their family members especially older members will be affected if the aspirants are pushed for exams in this pandemic which has taken nearly 80,000 lives in India only. (7/n)
5. SOPs issued by govt at exam centres are okay but what about SOPs outside the exam centres & while travelling? We could see many pictures of the failed SOPs & unguarded crowd outside exam centres, at bus stops & railway stations during the recently concluded JEE/NEET. (8/n)
6.Many Covid warriors like medical staffs, police force , etc appear for the exam. Their preparation has been affected by covid due to rigorous duties since corona outbreak. (9/n)
7. Many aspirants have 2020 attempt as last chance left. Covid has affected their preparation badly especially of poor ,rural aspirants & Corona warriors. We demand one extra attempt for them. ministry.(10/n)
8. No information regarding whether candidates who are Covid+ or having symptoms(cold & cough) are allowed to appear for exam or not. If not allowed, what backup will the government provide to them. (11/n)
9. Only 72 cities as centres, which roughly translates to 2-3 cities per state or even a single centre in states like Jharkhand etc. Some of them are under containment zone where no exams are allowed & even aspirants & invigilators are not allowed in the containment zones. (12/n)

3. A Mission to eliminate Sickle-Cell Anaemia by 2047 will be established. There will be screening of 7 crore people in 0-40 years age group in affected tribal areas. The government is on a mission to eradicate the disease, Sitharaman said. #Budgetwithfe
