Hey Palestinians:

You keep whining about how the #AbrahamAccords ignore you.

That's wrong.

It treats you exactly how you deserve - as an entity that has, through your own actions and rejectionism, made your cause irrelevant.

1/
You could have been the ones on the White House lawn signing a genuine warm peace with Israel, multiple times, since 2000.

2/
Instead, you chose to adhere to your "principles" of destroying the Jewish state - through terror, through alliances with the worst human rights abusing states, through demographics of "return."

3/
Israel's desire for peace with Palestinians is no less than its desire for peace with the rest of the Arab world. It tried since 1993. You guys chose differently.

4/
You've had since 1993 to change your people's perception of Israel. Instead, you chose to teach your children hate.
5/
It took only two weeks for the UAE to change their textbooks to accept and embrace Israel as part of the Middle East - but your media and schools still teach that Jews are the usurping outsiders who will ultimately be banished.

6/
Your revered leader Arafat was a terrorist who never changed, as the second intifada proved. Your quasi leader Abbas may reject outright terror but when given a choice of aligning with Israel or Hamas, he always chooses Hamas.

7/
What message have you been telling Israel for 27 years?

8/
You cry that the Gulf Arabs are stabbing you in the back. Yet they gave you billions of dollars and full support for decades.

9/
Instead of building a state and trying to make peace, you chose to make terrorists into heroes and to outsource the institutions of the state to European NGOs. You chose to join international conventions for the single-minded purpose of vilifying Israel.

10/
Your choice to stick with your genocidal principles is what brought us to this day. You have squandered chance after chance for a state and for peace.
11/
Israelis would have been just as enthusiastic about peace with a Palestinian state as they are about peace with any Arab state. And you know this.

12/
Even now, you refuse to take responsibility for your choices and you are now calling the UAE and Bahrain traitors. No - you are the traitors to the Arab nation by trying to hijack their agenda to be your own.

13/
You could have had a state 20 years ago. You said no. The Arab world tried very hard to show you the folly of your decision. You stubbornly remained blind and deaf to what your brothers told you.

Time's up.

1/Every negative news story about how hard the Iran war is actually proves why it had to be fought — and why we nearly waited too long.Image
2/U.S. intelligence says the war hasn't changed Iran's nuclear timeline. Iran still has its highly enriched uranium stockpile, buried in tunnels American munitions can't penetrate.
Critics say: proof the war is failing.
The correct reading: proof of what a decade of delay costs.
3/Israel and the US still can't produce interceptors nearly as fast as Iran produces ballistic missiles. Iran fired ~650 ground-to-ground missiles in 40 days of fighting. The 4 week ceasefire wasn't close to enough to replenish stocks. That's a time bomb that only gets worse.

In April, based on the Lebanese Ministry of Health's numbers, I wrote that roughly 80% of Lebanese deaths in the current war were adult males — far above their approximately 37% share of the population.

That by itself is improbable if Israel is bombing and destroying indiscriminately, the way the media likes to imply.

But it turns out those incredible numbers are not even close to the reality.
1/Image
Their latest infographic shows that there have been 2,679 deaths, of which 2,459 are adult males - which is 91.8%.

Comparing the April 17 and May 3 numbers, we see the number of women killed and injured has gone down, not up, meaning that they ministry was classifying some people wrongly.

91.8% males is very impressive. But even that is an undercount!

2/Image
When we look at the small print in the infographic, we see that the Health Ministry, against all international standards, is counting 18 year olds as "children."

A back of the envelope calculation estimates that between 50-100 of the "children" killed were really 18 years old. So the percentage of adult males may be in the 93-95% range.

The Manhattan Institute did a survey of Democrats (registered voters plus Kamala Harris voters.) It asked about antisemitism, and the answers show that Jew-hatred is becoming normalized in the Democratic Party.
1/
4% of Democrats describe themselves as openly antisemitic. Among voers 18-29, the percentage increases to 8% - one in twelve young Democrats aren't just "anti-Zionist" but literally hate Jews. (The correlation with antizionism is undeniable now.)
But that's not the worst part.
2/
When asked whether they think antisemites should be unwelcome in the party, less than half - 44% - said that hating Jews should disqualify someone from being a member.

Imagine if the same question was asked about racists.

I read all 162 articles of Palestine's new draft constitution — the one France helped write. It doesn't mention Israel. It doesn't define borders. It declares "genocide" as constitutional fact. It makes the right of return unamendable. And it erases Judaism entirely from a document governing Jerusalem.
Abbas promised Macron he'd condemn Oct 7, reform textbooks, demilitarize, and hold elections. France recognized Palestine. Then Abbas drafted a constitution that makes it unconstitutional for any future Palestinian leader to sign a peace treaty with Israel. France didn't just enable this — Macron announced a joint committee to help draft it.
The constitution mandates perpetual prosecution of "genocide" perpetrators — no statute of limitations, no pardons, no amendments allowed. Israel has universal conscription. Connect the dots: every Israeli adult is a constitutional target, and the ICC warrant machinery can never be switched off. Europe built a legal machine and aimed it at itself and its legal systems can be swamped with spurious "genocide" accusations against everyone who ever served in the IDF (not only Gaza.)
And if a new Palestinian leader wants to make peace with Israel, amend the "right of return," remove the genocide accusation - he can't. It is unconstitutional to change those parts.
This isn't a constitution for a state. It's a constitution against a state — the one next door.
Details in next tweet.Image
This is a long post, but it is very important. elderofziyon.substack.com/p/the-new-pale…
There's more:
Everyone noticed the new draft Palestinian constitution enshrines "pay for slay." But they missed the real story: Abbas specifically promised Macron in June 2025 that he would end payments to convicted terrorists. France cited that promise on its own government website as justification for recognizing Palestine. Then Abbas drafted a constitution that makes those payments an unamendable constitutional right.

Article 44 mandates "comprehensive care" for "martyrs, prisoners, and the wounded." It sits in the fundamental rights chapter. Article 156 prohibits amending fundamental rights. Meaning: no future Palestinian leader can end pay for slay even if he wants to. Same for the "right of return" — Article 40, same chapter, same protection. These aren't negotiating positions. They are constitutional commandments that can never be changed under the constitution's own rules!

Western leaders have spent decades treating Palestinian maximalist demands as opening bids. The constitution proves they were always the final offer. Their maximalist positions are their minimalist positions — and now they're unamendable law.

So I decided to ask different AIs to create a plot of a Jewish Christmas movie. My prompt: "Write the plot for a movie where a committed Jewish person is unwillingly stuck inside a Christmas movie."
A thread of the responses, and my ratings. 🧵
Meta:

Title: "Stuck in a Winter Wonderland"
Protagonist: David, a devoted Jewish man who runs a small deli in New York City. He's proud of his heritage and traditions, and loves celebrating Hanukkah with his family and friends.
The Premise: One day, while watching a classic Christmas movie marathon at his sister's house, David gets sucked into the TV and finds himself trapped inside a cheesy, over-the-top Christmas movie called "A Winter Wonderland". The movie is full of clichés, from the quaint small town to the handsome, charming lead actor.
The Conflict: David is horrified to find himself in the middle of a Christmas movie, surrounded by Christmas trees, decorations, and carolers. He's determined to find a way back home, but every time he tries to escape, he's pulled back into the movie. The lead actor, a charming but dim-witted guy named Nick, thinks David is a new character in the movie and tries to befriend him.
The Comedy: As David navigates the absurd world of the Christmas movie, he encounters a series of wacky characters, from a wise-cracking elf to a villainous toy manufacturer. Despite his initial reluctance, David starts to enjoy the ridiculousness of the movie and even finds himself developing feelings for a lovely Christmas shop owner named Emma.
The Heart: As David gets closer to Emma and the other characters, he starts to realize that the true meaning of the holiday season is about kindness, generosity, and community - values that are just as important in Judaism as they are in Christianity. David starts to see the beauty in the Christmas traditions and even finds ways to incorporate his own Jewish heritage into the movie.
The Climax: Just as David is starting to feel at home in the Christmas movie, he's confronted by the movie's villain, who threatens to ruin the holiday season for the entire town. David uses his wits and resourcefulness to help the townspeople defeat the villain and save Christmas.
The Resolution: As a reward for his heroism, David is given the chance to return home to his own world. But before he goes, he says goodbye to his new friends and Emma, who has become the love of his life. David returns home, but with a newfound appreciation for the holiday season and the people who celebrate it.
The Twist: As David settles back into his life in New York City, he starts to notice strange things happening around him. The deli's Christmas decorations seem more vibrant than usual, and the customers are all singing Christmas carols. David starts to wonder: did he really escape the Christmas movie, or is he still trapped in a never-ending winter wonderland?

I give this two stars. I specifically did not want an inter-religious romance which is why I used the word "committed." And the end is a nightmare!
Gemini:

Title: "The Unlikely Christmas Caroler"

Main Character: Sarah, a young, successful Jewish attorney in New York City. She's career-focused, cynical, and dismissive of Christmas traditions.

Plot:

Sarah is assigned to a last-minute pro bono case defending a small, struggling Jewish bakery against a giant corporate chain trying to shut them down.
The bakery is owned by the warm and kind Goldstein family, who are preparing for their annual Hanukkah celebration. Sarah reluctantly agrees to help, seeing it as a way to meet her deadline.
As she spends more time with the Goldsteins, Sarah starts to soften. She witnesses their joy and love for their traditions, and begins to appreciate the importance of community and family.
The night before Hanukkah, Sarah is walking home from the bakery when she is suddenly transported into a magical Christmas movie world. She finds herself the star of a cheesy holiday romance, where she's forced to sing carols, decorate a Christmas tree, and fall in love with a handsome, but clueless, Christmas enthusiast.
Sarah initially resists, but as she navigates the bizarre world, she begins to see the magic and wonder of the holiday season. She also starts to connect with her own Jewish heritage, realizing that her traditions are just as special and meaningful as any other.
Back in the real world, Sarah realizes that her time in the Christmas movie has changed her. She's more appreciative of the holiday spirit, and she's also learned to embrace her own cultural identity.
She helps the Goldstein family save their bakery, and she even finds herself falling in love with a charming Jewish man who works there.

Rating: 2.5 stars. The plot details are way too vague and the plot really doesn't hang together.

Nobody knows anything about the future of Syria and the region. But here are three things we do know and lessons we can learn, today. ift.tt/thjMHIP
The rapid fall of the Assad regime in Syria is stunning.

There is no shortage of analysis, but essentially every "expert" in the field is warning of things that could or might happen.

What I haven't seen is any of these experts admitting that they couldn't see this coming.

The Middle East is the most watched, analyzed and studied region on Earth. Isn't it strange that no one saw the coordination necessary for the disparate Syrian rebel groups to mount this offensive?  The planning  must have taken weeks, if not months. Israel's escalation against Hezbollah in September would undoubtedly have either started these plans if not accelerated already existing plans.

Where were these analysts then? And - why should we believe any of them now when they didn't see this coming?

We can expect to see analysis in the coming weeks of how the signs were there all along, all ignoring that these supposed experts missed those signs.

Lesson #1: Media and academic experts are no better at predicting what will happen than anyone else.
To be sure, Western intelligence agencies appear to have been caught flat-footed as well. Any decent intel organization must go back, look at any evidence of this development that must have been visible but ignored, and ask itself where it went wrong.

Every intelligence failure that I am aware of comes not from missing the evidence, but from not connecting the dots. Intelligence agencies have to deal with massive amounts of data that they gather from tens of thousands of sources. The challenge is being able to notice patterns and properly prioritize the data coming in.

How many times have we seen after the fact that the pieces of the puzzle were always there? From Pearl Harbor to the Yom Kippur War to October 7, the data wasn't the problem. It was the refusal to believe the data, the refusal to properly prioritize the data, the overriding of the evidence with beliefs.

Perhaps artificial intelligence can overcome these issues, which are after all human blind spots. But AI is often being programmed too often with the same blind spots, at least the AIs I've been playing with. Nevertheless, it shouldn't be hard to adjust AIs to avoid bias in the models and programming to learn to put together data. Expect to see accelerated work in that arena.

Lesson #2: Even national intelligence agencies have blind spots and they need to adjust their methods of analysis.
