Shamsu'd-Din Muhammad Araki was a Muslim missionary who visited Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan in 15th-16th century. His biography ‘Tohfatu'l-Ahbab’ was written by Muhammad Ali Kashmiri, which is being quoted ahead.
“Close to the spring in the village of Ver, there existed a big temple. This was also demolished and a mosque was raised in its place. Again, a mulla was appointed to conduct prayers, give call for the prayer and deliver sermons.”
“After the demolition of this temple, bands of dervishes and sufis came to every place in the village and along the road where there were temples. They destroyed not only the temples of the infidels but also uprooted their customs and traditions.”
“They wiped out all signs of idols and their remains so that the banner of Islamic religion and the shariía (law) began fluttering all over that region. Thus all infidels, apostates and polytheists became Musulman.”
“No person was left without circumcision or reciting the Kalima. Infidels in villages and rural areas were also converted in the same manner. Only a very small group did not convert.”
“Their fathers and forefathers had fled to Nagarkot during the reign of Sikandar Butshikan. Some of them had settled in Kishtwar and others had fled to Jammu.”

Amnesty International disproportionately singles out Israel for condemnation, focusing solely on the conflict with the Palestinians, misrepresenting the complexity of the conflict, & ignoring more severe human rights violations in the region.
"We also witnessed firsthand the basic hostility of Amnesty International to the plight of Kashmiri Pandits. Sunil Bakshi had repeatedly sent invitations to them three weeks before the exhibition."
"I personally called the head of Kashmir at Amnesty International several times as well as Ingrid Massage, the director, Asia & Pacific Program of Amnesty."
“Take the case of the highest personality in India & then consider the actual situation in which he finds himself. Muslim goondas may, at a single stroke, besmirch the honour & reputation of the highest citizen.”
“This is so because even though they stand high, the Samaj to which they happen to belong is weak & degenerate, devoid of power & steeped in selfishness. Everyone of us is engrossed in his personal interests & is inclined to think about himself alone.”
"Large-scale riots in East Pakistan have compelled over two lakh Hindus & other minorities to come over to India. Indians naturally feel incensed by the happenings in East Bengal."
"It is our firm conviction that guaranteeing the protection of the life and property of Hindus & other minorities in Pakistan is the responsibility of the Government of India."
"Dharma is the repository of the nation’s soul. If Dharma is destroyed, the Nation perishes. Any one who abandons Dharma, betrays the nation. Since Dharma is supreme, our ideal of the State has been Dharma Rajya. What constitutes the good of the people, Dharma alone can decide."
"Therefore a democratic govt Jana Rajya must also be rooted in Dharma, i.e., a Dharma Rajya. Since in the West injustice & atrocities were perpetrated, bitter conflicts & battles were fought in the name of religion, all these were en bloc listed on the debit side of Dharma also."
"We feel that in the name of Dharma also battles were fought. However battles of religion and battles of Dharma are two different things. Religion means a creed or a sect, it does not mean Dharma."
