AMARKATHA of AMARNATH

Mata Parvati asked Mahadev one day- "Prabhu my body is destroyed everytime and I die again & again but you are always immortal. Please tell me the secret of this"
Mahadev replied it is becoz of AMARKATHA.Mata Parvati insisted him to tell the secret
Mahadev initially postponed it.Finally on consistent demand of Maa he decided to tell her the secret. He started for a lonely place where no living being could listen it.Then he chose AMARNATH Cave.

On the way to Amaranath he left Nandi at Pahalgam,at Chandanbadi he released the
Moon, on the bank of Shesnag lake he left snakes. He decided to leave Ganesha at Mahaganesh
(Mahaguna) hills. At Panchtarni
he left the five element
(earth, water, air, fire &sky) the component of life .After leaving behind these living thing Shiva enters in the Amarnath caves.
Then he created kalagni and ordered him to spread fire to eliminate any living thing in and around the cave. Then Mahadev started narrating the secret of immortality to Devi Parvati. Mahadev was totally engrossed in reciting the Amarakatha.Every few minutes Parvati would make a
Sound like "Hmm", so that Mahadev
would know that she is listening.
However after sometimes she went to sleep.
There was a Suka (parrot) hiding behind the tree started making sound in the same way as Parvati.
After finished the narration when Mahadev opened his eyes he saw
Parvati was sleeping. He astonished that if parvati is sleeping then who was making sound. After searching he found a Suka Pakhi (parrrot) hiding in the tree. There was also pair of Egg below his deer skin Asana.
But it was not living thing so he spare it .
But Siva Ji thought as the parrot is unqualified to listen the Amara katha it would create many disturbance.

Therefore he lifted his trident and ran towards the Parrot to k!ll it. Finaly the parrot reach to the Ashrama of Vyasadeva. At the point parrot entered the mouth of
Vyasadeva's wife Bitika while she yawned.Mahadev narrated the entire incident to Vyasadev.

Vyasadev told Siva that the parrot became immortal now, as he has listen the entire Amarakatha .So it could not be k!lled. Then the Shuka
Pakshi took the form of a baby inside the womb
of Bitika. Instead of nine month he stayed 12 years in the mother womb & finaly born as son of Vyasadeva, the famous "Shukadeva".

And the two pigeon also grown from the eggs also became immortal & believed to be seen around the Amarnath Caves even today.

Jai Shiva Sambhu 🙏
