Global News sources have now confirmed what the Sun reported first. JIN shot in targeted attack and a criminal associate killed, sources say. This is shocking to law enforcement sources as JIN seen as powerfully connected in transnational crime and in China. But Jin denies all
accusations of crime and money laundering and E Pirate charges against him were stayed. Recently though, a Paul Jin gym business with alleged illegal casino connections, was named in BC Civil forfeiture case.

True, and The Bureau was first on this POV.
Nor did “Special Rapporteur” David Johnston value this Privy Council Office “Special Report” or the 100 underlying CSIS reports and other crucial Canadian government records that I accessed.
Why?
Canadians must come to their own judgments.
In Johnston’s case the question could be is there a conflicting relationship with Beijing’s United Front?
I was hearing from government investigators that Canada’s elections are being undermined and Justin Trudeau’s party was especially implicated.
Part of my job was to learn whether it could be true that Trudeau’s government was ignoring serious foreign threats to our democracy and Chinese influence that touched his own office for electoral reasons.

Things that were known but powerfully reinforced this week. India is certainly interfering in Canada but it’s not even close, Beijing’s interference in Canadian elections and evident connectivity to the LPC especially, is off the scales. Russia is a fairly minimal player here.
Canada has a problem (as I’ve been told for years) that bureaucratic heads of CSIS and RCMP are in danger of being under the thumb of the powerful ministers and especially the PM and his office. Think about it. Intelligence or law enforcement could be asked or better yet,
suggested; hinted at, or simply understand for Ottawa career reasons, what threats to focus on and what threats to ignore. (Hey can you juice up a threat timeline on the protests in Ottawa a bit, maybe there is a Russian funder or something we can put in that timeline?; … Hey

1. Sometimes it seems the idea isn’t fully getting through what United Front community groups in Canada are and why they surround party and government leaders. One can read the official documents of these groups online and understand they are literally Chinese Communist Party. Image

On to new stories, here is the bottom line on the Lab story and it’s important these days people don’t get confused with partisan debate, and that reporters accurately parse PMJT responses in coming days.
1. An infiltration of egregious and international significance occurred.
2. This was a People’s Liberation Army infiltration and espionage operation in a high security Canadian facility and Ottawa failed to stop it.

3. Justin Trudeau and his office covered the facts up but opposition parties forced at least basic disclosures showing Parliament worked
4. This is just one serious case in a much broader fact pattern for Canada that includes PRC election interference and police stations involving same PLA and civilian intelligence networks.

A recent Canadian immigration board ruling dealing with alleged Chinese espionage networks says Beijing’s United Front subsumed China’s Overseas Affairs Office in 2018, and these organs run massive lower-level intelligence operations aimed at leveraging diaspora communities.
