Here's a thread of recent articles on Brexit impacts that have gone under the radar. They're well worth a read and a retweet.

"43% of British goods and services exporters have seen a decrease in trade over the past year. The most frequently cited reason is Brexit. Among the most prominent concerns are red tape and a reduction in demand for UK products."

According to the UK government's own August figures, British GDP is still 0.2% lower than before the pandemic. Meanwhile, Eurozone GDP is 2.7% higher than before the pandemic.

She has more courage than all the oligarchs put together!
👏👏👏
Editor Marina Ovsyannikova burst on the set of a live news broadcast shouting: 'Stop the war. No to war.' She held a sign saying 'Don’t believe the propaganda. They’re lying to you here'."
🇺🇦
Apparently, Marina Ovsyannikova knew she would be arrested for her protest, so before she carried it out she pre-recorded this message:
"Unfortunately I’ve spent the last years working on Channel One and spreading Kremlin propaganda. And I am ashamed”.
🇺🇦
Here's a translation of what Marina Ovsyannikova said in her video. #StandWithUkraine️ 🇺🇦
Russian troops have attacked Europe's largest nuclear power station in #Zaporizhzhia Ukraine. It is now on fire. Someone needs to stop Putin ASAP or he will take us all down with him. #PutinWarCrimes 🇺🇦
A short thread about the 3 songs chosen by Angela Merkel tonight for the traditional #Zapfenstreich (military tattoo) as she leaves the Chancellorship after 16 years. Every Chancelor has the ceremony when they leave office, and the songs say a lot about their characters 😎
1. "Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen" (You forgot to bring the colour film).
A nostalgic song from the 1970s DDR, which is much deeper than it sounds. It's about fading memories, the desire to relive things in vivid colour rather than black & white.
2. "Für mich solls rote Rosen regnen" (Let it rain red roses for me)
A moving ballad from one of the stars of postwar Germany. The song is about how the things you want most change as you grow older, even though, deep down, you still remain the same.
This scene is apparently due to a temporary strike, nothing structural. But the poster doesn't mention that. @politico must be so pleased that one of its reporters is intentionally spreading fake news that's now being RTd by Brexiters as proof that Boris Johnson isn't lying.
Here's the truth. @politico should really have a word with him if they don't want to be compared to GB News.
This is the journalist poster who apparently works for @politico.
He knew the truth of the story, but intentionally refused to include it in his original tweet or correct it by deleting and reposting. He knew exactly what he was doing, and posters of Brexit fake news thank him.
So embarassing !!!
German news just showed the British petrol shortages. They expressly indicated it was caused by Brexit, then showed a bunch of bald, scrapping Brits 🤦♀️ and ended with Johnson saying it's nothing to do with Brexit coz the same thing's happening everywhere.
WTF!
