Democrats have never understood how much their Senators undermined their own norms, and norms of civility, on Kavanaugh.

That fact, maybe more than any other, is why Dems have no standing of higher moral authority with the GOP base.

I know more than a few Never Trumpers and other non-Trump voters that are still livid about Kavanaugh's treatment.

The fact that Feinstein and Kamala Harris likely openly lied during the testimony doesn't help matters.

Of course, Democrats compounded that by showing their own gross hypocrisy on #MeToo when a woman with more credible evidence than against BK came forward against Biden....

...and they then made him their nominee.

When we talk about norms, and abuse of power, and incivility, Trump is an expert.

But the Democrats that attacked Kavanaugh literally were at least as bad for those few weeks...which is an incredible accomplishment when you think about it.

After Bork, then Thomas, then Kavanaugh...you'd think they'd have learned that lesson.

But nope.

And after Clinton, you'd think they'd at least hold their own people up to that standard.

But...nope.

So even if Dems make promises about adhering to norms, rule of law, civility, yada yada yada...who in the Democratic Party has the credibility to be believed?

Yeah. Hypocrites all around. None of them should be believed.
