Trans women are just so darned patriarchal that every patriarchal institution wants to destroy us.

Yep, that take makes total sense.

Trans women's existence defies and ultimately breaks patriarchy. Not destroys it, but shows the foundation of lies it's built upon. Just the fact of being seen as rejecting manhood and voluntarily entering womanhood is transgressive and a violation of patriarchal norms.

So the backlash we get is staggering, from cis men, from cis women, from other trans people. So many people want us to be evil, violent, rapist, murderers, monsters, an explanation to prove we're outside womanhood and that who we are is mired in patriarchy's worst excesses.

But that proof doesn't exist. Individual trans women doing horrible things is meaningless in this regard, as individual cis women do the same and worse. Despite repeated claims, the Dhejne "Swedish Study" doesn't show any kind of "male pattern criminality." This is why we're lied

about constantly, because our real life existence just doesn't live up to the mythology they've constructed around us. Trans women do not enforce patriarchal norms through displays of conventional femininity, partly because that's utter nonsense and trans women don't have that

power, but also because trans women have just as diverse gender presentation as cis women. Some love dresses and skirts and makeup and heels and some love jeans and boots and punk aesthetic and some love being butch and some love being femme and all of that is okay. It's fine.

But dang it'd sure be nice if people stopped trying to use their assumptions about who we are because they can't imagine why a cis man would want to be a woman.

The answer is that cis men don't want to be women. Whatever her gender prior to transition, trans women aren't cis men

Perhaps instead of wondering why a cis man would want to transition, ask what a cis girl would do if someone tried to force her, through abuse and indoctrination every day of her life to be a boy until she can't take it anymore and says "no more." That's what life is like for

many trans women. Admittedly everyone has different experiences and they don't fall out the same way, but as a generalization just imagine what that could be like.

Cis people have it all backwards, as do a lot of trans people, when talking about us.

Anyway, I'm gonna go back to the totally patriarchal thing for a woman to do and be as gay as I want and have girlfriends.

Also, I'm not a woman, I'm a femme girl.

Also not everyone I date or will date is or will be a girl or a woman.

BTW, please don't reverse this thread and apply that to trans men and trans mascs. Trans men don't uphold patriarchy by being trans men. Trans men and trans mascs are not trans women's and trans feminine people's polar opposites.
