1/7 It's not in dispute that after the 2018 general election, a political party, MDC-ALLIANCE was formed. The rights of this party are protected by the Constitution of Zimbabwe. The leaders, members & supporters of the MDC-A have an obligation to defend their party by all means!
2/7 There're two reasons why MDC-T seeks to runaway from its tainted name to contest elections in MDC-A's name: their MDC-T can't win any election against MDC-A & @DMwonzora wants to use MDC-A name to reclaim Parly funds given to MDC-A in 2018 & 2019; which he claims were abused!
3/7 The MDC-ALLIANCE is not a name but a symbol of a formidable social base made up of leaders, members & supporters. Names of political parties don't matter in Zim; what matters are registered party symbols. No one, let alone MDC-T, can use this MDC-A election symbol👇🏿. No one!
4/7 While it does not matter what name a political party uses, and while it's common for political parties to change their names, it's advisable for the MDC-A to keep & defend its name in light of the nefarious reasons behind the MDC-T's Mnangagwa-inspired assault on the name!
5/7 While it should keep & defend its name & while it's assured of the unusability of its party or election symbol, the fact that the MDC-A is now a political party (and not an alliance) means it has an opportunity to grow its brand by forging a new electoral pact. This is key!
6/7 The political party has withered away as the most effective or appropriate organisational form for winning elections. The new formula for winning elections is broad-based coalitions; not insular political parties. SA, Kenya & Malawi are good examples with ruling coalitions!
7/7 There's no doubt that the MDC-A is in crisis visited upon it by Mnangagwa, using the courts & Parliament through the treachery of @DrThoko_Khupe & @DMwonzora. But the crisis is a huge opportunity for the MDC-A to unleash new politics to consolidate & grow its social base!

1/24 Recently, @PacheduZW, which falsely claims to be wholly run by Zimbabweans, boasted that in 2021 it "SPENT THE ENTIRE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY" demonising me.
The boast was in a hateful response to the 'Apology letter' to ZanuPF members!
2/24 Since its launch just before the 2018 general election, @PacheduZW has routinely claimed that it is a wholly Zimbabwean entity, formed and run by CITIZENS; some domiciled in and others outside the country.
3/24 A week before the 2018 general election, @PacheduZW introduced its 11 team members, all presented as "patriotic" Zimbabweans; six based outside the country and five supposedly based in Zimbabwe but "chose to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals"!
1/18 The release of #CCC's "7 electoral reform demands" has exposed the telling fact that the party and its loquacious trolls don't know that election results in Zim are ANNOUNCED, in real time at polling stations, immediately after vote counting. This is huge for vote defence!
2/18 In terms of s37C of the Electoral Act, see attachment, Zimbabwe's election system has five electoral centres.
These five election centres have complementary roles; with each having its own election return (called a V-Form) and a distinct function in the election system!
3/18 In terms of s38 of the Electoral Act, attached, Zimbabwe's plebiscite harmonises three elections that are run simultaneously:
General (parliamentary), local authority and presidential elections.
Results of these elections are ANNOUNCED in real riltme at polling stations!
1/24 While I'm sad I cannot continue to respond to each and all of them, I'm heartened by the deluge of DMs asking for the reason for the crude slurs I get from @nelsonchamisa supporters; which reflect deep-seated hatred as they have also targeted my sister and my late daughter!
2/24 The reason for the slurs I am getting is @nelsonchamisa himself. While he feigns ignorance and appears to be silent amid the slurs, Nelson has in fact used his seeming silence as a cover to fan and fuel the slurs. He has rebuffed all efforts to get him to address the slurs!
3/24 In the circumstances, the only rational option left is for me to transparently and objectively address the reason for the crude #CCC slurs, one way or another; away from @Twitter at an appropriate time, as soon as practically possible. This I shall do, without prejudice!
1/16 The saga of a "structureless" & constitutionless #CCC has put a spotlight on the legal status of political parties in Zim. While the Constitution in s3 declares Zim as a 'multi-party democratic system', it does not define the nature, functions & rights of political parties!
2/16 In the Bill of Rights the Constitution of Zimbabwe, under s67 dealing with political rights, does not distinguish between "a political party" and "an organisation". Effectively, this means a political party is an organisation. It follows that an organisation is a structure!
3/16 Apropos s67 of the Constitution, the Electoral Act defines a political party as "any political organisation". Since an organisation is a structure, this means that a political party is not a particular structure; but any structure; whose type must be given or made known!
1/15 From 11 to 13 April 2022, a property of US's @NDI on 85 Ebene Cybercity, Quatre Bornes, Mauritius hosted a secret meeting to plot an audacious and violent "Eswatini Winter Revolution", slated for June 2022; funded by @NDI, listed as the "Principal" on the meeting's agenda!
2/15 The @NDI's Mauritius coup plot against Eswatini was attended by Srdja Popovic, Slobadan Dinovic, Mohamed Adel, Maryam Al-Khawaja, Mona Eltahawy, Danya Bashir, Justine Lavarde, Kumi Naidoo, Mariela Belski & Zweli Martin Dlamini. What follows are details of the @NDI coup plot!
3/15 DAY ONE was for a presentation by @zweli_martin, leader of a multi-national paramilitary outfit called " Eswatini Democratic Forces", whose elements include South Africans & immigrants from @SADC_News recruited by @MmusiMaimane. Attached are minutes of Zweli's presentation!
1/5 The gruesome lynching of Elvis Nyathi a Zimbabwean stoned & burnt alive in South Africa is not a result of "illegal" or "forced" immigration, as claimed by political vultures in SA and Zim; it's Afrophobia, a dreadful South African hate crime not seen anywhere else in Africa!
2/5 For context, South Africa is neither exemplary nor a leader among hosts to"illegal" or "forced" immigrants, commonly known as refugees, in Africa. Leaders, non of which is Afrophobic, are Uganda, Liberia, Sudan, South Sudan, Kenya, Ethiopia & Cameroon! nrc.no/perspectives/2…
3/5 The mixed response of SA govt officials to the gruesome lynching of Elvis Nyathi is outrageous, unacceptable but telling: tragically, maybe due to their shellacking in the recent local govt elections, the subliminal message of @MYANC ministers is Afrophobic & anti-Zimbabwean!
