😂 The Pink News comedy show keeps getting funnier. Here’s @benjamincohen responding to the govt’s announcement it has rejected gender Self-ID, which he championed for 5 years. He starts with a trademark bizarre accusation, this time about genital inspections. Click here to see👇
2./ Then he tries to suck up to @trussliz claiming her rejection of Self-ID is....”sensible”. It is indeed which is why that’s been the central demand of @ALLIANCELGB since we were founded; despite furious accusations of “hatefulness” from Pink News and yep Benjamin himself.
3./ Here’s a reminder of just a few of the stories his demented rag has run demanding Self-ID in the last few months. The most recent was yesterday. 👇 In the world of Pink News no one just asks ....they plead. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤦♂️
4/ Here’s Pink News preparing its pleady needy readers for the worst news possible ever - Literally- complete with its usual mad exaggeration. Apparently there’s an “overwhelming number” in favour of Self-ID. Yeah in the Pink News gender neutral loos maybe. 👇
5./ Here’s Pink News bewailing the PM’s lack of interest in Self ID despite more “overwhelming support”. They must be referring to a legion of copycat responses to the govt’s consultation PN urged readers to send in. The public were on a different page as they soon discovered.
6./ When Pink News asked @YouGov to poll the actual public it had to treat the results like a Japanese cook handling a deadly fugu fish: with great care. There was a small majority in favour of Self-ID among women. But what happened to overwhelming?
7./ If you wonder why misogynist PN suddenly took such an interest in women’s views it’s because there wasn’t a majority of blokes who supported Self ID and so only 50% of the entire British public were in support. Overwhelming majority? I don’t think so.👇pinknews.co.uk/2020/07/09/tra…
8./ This didn’t stop @benjamincohen giving quotes to other news outlets that were in danger of misrepresenting the results. Here he is saying the majority of the public supported Self ID👇 independent.co.uk/life-style/tra…
9./ I know denying the reality of biology may make your grasp of facts unstable but this is just weird. Maybe it was why @YouGov felt the need a week later to publish its own polling in more detail. This revealed a much more nuanced picture. 👇yougov.co.uk/topics/politic…
10./ One crucial finding was that while a majority supported transwomen being able to enter women’s single sex spaces a much larger majority was against pre-op transwomen being able to do so. It’s thought most transwomen choose to retain their male genitals.
11./ Another revealing finding was that despite an eagerness to be as kind as possible and go along with some trans demands the public were pretty evenly split as to whether they really believed trans people were the gender they said they were. 36% of the public didn’t. 👇
12./ This led to a raging article in Pink News which denounced the same company -You Gov- for daring to ask the public questions about trans people that Pink News had just paid to ask the public questions about trans people. 👇
13./ This was all of a piece with Pink News’s bias, its insane vitriol, its refusal to report factually, its pile-ons, the personal attacks, misrepresentations and witch hunts that have been such a feature of its campaign for Self ID
14/. The killer finding in You Gov’s poll was the VAST majority of the public actually support the CURRENT gender recognition process. By 63 to 16% they favoured medical diagnosis for example as well as proof of a 2 year process of transition. That’s what I call overwhelming.👇
15./ This is what makes the refusal of the govt to be bullied into compliance so uplifting for our side. They and we are in line with the public view not the ragged cadre at Pink News that increasingly resembles the strange, wide-eyed cult of the Sparrows from ‘Game of Thrones’.
16./ It’ll be fun to see whether the little Sparrows back at Pink News will now back Benjamin’s description of the govt’s approach as “sensible”. Maybe the little ones don’t appreciate how dependent their rag now is on govt adverti$ing. Kerching.👇
17./ Maybe Benjamin will soon sing the same song as @stonewalluk that calls the govt’s decision “a shocking failure of leadership”. Nancy Kelley will know all about that. We hear reports her staff are in open rebellion.👇
18./ Since Stonewall became obsessed with trans rights to the detriment of LGB people its gone from a healthy financial surplus to last year a loss of £1M. It’s said to be living off reserves. Acceptance without exceptions ....🤦♂️
19./ However they spin it the govt’s decision is a huge blow to both Pink News and Stonewall, and a solid win for our side. But it’s just a start. There’s so much work to do to roll back the capture of our institutions by the nonsense of ‘gender identity’ theory. Up and at them.

1./ Why should we be delighted trans activist Jane Fae feels "beyond shock...beyond grief" at males being excluded from the Women's Institute and Girl Guides? Fae is a one man argument for keeping blokes out of women's spaces. Let me tell you why.👉 metro.co.uk/2025/12/04/gir…
2./ When trans identified killer Scarlet Blake was convicted of murder Fae took to the airwaves to argue he should be jailed in a woman's prison. Indeed all prisons should be mixed sex, said Fae. But then Fae has quite the record of downplaying threats of sexual violence.👉
3./ When Fae was still called John Ozimek he campaigned against attempts to restrict the most depraved and violent pornography, including necrophilia. He even offered advice on how to circumvent new regulations so users could keep extreme images beyond the reach of the cops.
1./ 🧵Who is Destroying the BBC?
In my latest article I argue uncritical cheerleaders like Alastair Campbell, Alan Rusbridger and Kirstie Allsop will be the death of the BBC. They merely reinforce an arrogant BBC culture I saw for myself when I worked with Alan Yentob.
2./ When Yentob died in May he was lauded as the very embodiment of the BBC. You'd hardly have guessed his career had been dogged by decades of scandal involving expen$e$. I first met Alan in 2002 when I was asked to direct the first episode of 'Imagine' a new arts series.
3./ It was no secret the BBC was trying to find a new role for Yentob. Headlines about lavish parties at Glastonbury and Cannes were bad enough. He also called questions by the National Audit Office "tiring" and waved away criticism by the press with an Antoinette complacency.
1./ 🧵Why does the 'furry' obsession of Thomas Crook -who tried to assassinate @realDonaldTrump - matter? Furry subculture emerged out of the same cross-dressing fetishism and Queer Theory amorality that drives the trans lobby. Let me tell you about the link. 👉
1 of/15.
2./ Furries emerged innocently enough out of comic book fan groups who liked to dress up -or cosplay- as their favourite characters, as here at the 1982 San Diego Comicon. The same year Steve Gallaci began publishing his highly influential anthropomorphic sci fi comic books. 👉
3./ Gallaci's work full of animal-headed aliens with huge eyes drew from the design palette of Japanese anime which had long played with the shifting boundaries between seemingly childish, innocent imagery and a more sinister (even bestial...) pornographic vibe. 👇
1./ 🧵Want proof the 'gender critical' movement is winning? Just 3 years ago the child-castration lobby group Mermaids was in court trying to strip @AllianceLGB of its charity status. Their witness arguments now sound even crazier than they did then. 👉theguardian.com/society/2022/n…
2./ Paul Roberts (he/him...surprise surprise) from the LGBT+ Consortium railed against @BevJacksonAuth for suggesting "male-bodied people however they identify do not belong in women's prisons. Or any other women's spaces." Her view is now backed by the Supreme Court.🍾🎉🥳
3./ As other proof of alleged bigotry Paul Roberts (he/him) cited a tweet by @AllianceLGB criticising cops for publicly supporting the trans lobby. This year a court agreed, ruling this kind of behaviour undermines the impartiality of the cops. Whoops. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/10/1…
1./ 🧵The BBC's Guilt.
Defenders of the BBC keep insisting it never promoted trans ideology. Yet here's more snippets from the BBC's own schools materials. In this clip primary school kids are told they can be born with a gender identity different from their body. 👇
2./ Telling children they might be born in the wrong body is profoundly confusing. When they experience puberty they may assume any discomfort they feel is due to this. Here's a woman who had her breasts removed cos she thinks she's male telling kids "everything fits now". 🤦♂️
3./ Here's a clip from the same BBC schools video in which the letters in LGBTQ+ are explained. Primary schools kids are told that Q can mean Queer or Questioning. Aren't most school kids likely to be ... "questioning" and therefore presume Q refers to them? 🤔👀
1./ 🧵The BBC Litmus Test. The reaction to claims of bias shows how low BBC cheerleaders have fallen. Morally. @arusbridger, @bbcnickrobinson, @JohnSimpsonNews, @davidyelland & @DAaronovitch accuse BBC opponents of exploiting the claims. Let me tell you why they're so wrong. 👉
2./ The BBC didn't just twist news coverage to suit the political agenda of activists including its Pride group. As I pointed out yesterday it promoted trans ideology in schools where BBC educational materials argued there were 100+ gender identities.👇
3./ The tribal instinct to protect the BBC meant @RichardBentall ridiculed the notion, claiming @piersmorgan "was speaking bullshit". This Professor of Clinical Psychology ignored the fact I'd linked to a BBC schools video doing just that. Here's where things get really dark.👉
