Oh surprise 1st phone call is pro-FCPS! The @TJAlumniAG gets the first call with the accusation of "play to pay." @FCPSSupt continues the anti-Tj "test prep" shaming he says he heard from @TJAnnB of tens of thousands of dollars on test prep. It's more dehumanizing of students.

You go, mom! A mom says she opposes the lottery. She wonders why FCPS doesnt do more for the "pipeline" In fact, she's right. "It is a legitimate point..." says @FCPSSupt but talks about "fierce urgency" to get some kids. He pushes "merit lottery" a dad calls a "racist oxymoron."

We got a caller. "I wanted to voice my support for the changes," says another @TJAlumniAG member. We know their voices now. They have stacked the slots at board meetings since June.

. @FCPSSupt says some kids aren't getting into TJ "while in other neighborhoods, dozens, hundreds of kids get in." Guess which schools are targeted? Schools with mostly Asian students. It's geographical quotas being used as a proxy for race.asrainvestigates.substack.com/p/breaking-ana…

Unbelievably the @fcpsnews equity officer says that "representation matters." Guess who isn't represented in any of these discussions? The families from Black and Hispanic families with whom FCPS has done NO outreach, and guess who else? Asian families under attack. I

Read here who data scientists says will benefit from this "equity" plan. It's white families.
Asian students will go from 73% to 33.52%.
White students will more than double from 18% to 44.88%. Black and Hispanic will hardly increase.

Let's get real. They talk about "representation." With a straight face @FCPSSupt defends "merit lottery" word salad that he created. There is no "representation" of the Asian community that @fcpsnews is straight up targeting. @RachnaHeizer is the only Asian on the school board.

So @fcpsnews @FCPSSupt is throwing the @BASISIndSchools school system under the bus. The admissions officer claims it's "pure lottery." He's WRONG. They can't even get their facts straight. They're talking in circles because they know they are pulling a stunt on the community.

It's another @TJAlumniAG member, giving @FCPSSupt a pat on the back. What a town hall! As a TJ student says: "They've graduated, it's like they're obsessed with their alma mater. Meanwhile, students, parents of CURRENT families say they can't get their calls answered. Convenient!

Oh my god, the equity officer now throws out the word "privilege" to talk -- let's be honest -- about the students that are at TJ. She says let's "check our biases." What about all of their biases against Asians and immigrants? Unbelievable.

How can @fcpsnews Scott Brabrand seriously talks with a straight face about this “town hall” when this is all families are getting. “User busy.” Meanwhile @FCPSSupt brags about “communications” unbelievable

It's literally 7:42 PM. I've been trying to call since 7 PM and it's simply "USER BUSY." This is no town hall.

Minority population will be decimated with lottery.
Biggest winners? White students.
@FCPSSupt again slams the "culture" of TJ. Who is in the culture? Asian students mostly now.

Asked how whites will be the biggest beneficiaries, @FCPSSupt pivots to use Black + Hispanic students as cover for this racist lottery system. Says a dad of a Black TJ student: "They are using Black + Hispanic students to put a hit on Asian students to benefit white families."

Says an amazing mom who speaks truth to power. Says lottery is terrible. "If you use a quota system you are going to punish students based on race + national origin...if you impose the racial quotas" you will benefit no students. She schools them on using wrong @BASISIndBK data

So @FCPSSupt insists the lottery isn't a racial quota but they have completely used geographical quotas, grouping students against each other in a Hunger Games in Fairfax County.
He goes off again on "pay to play." Unbelievable! But he's happy to brag about our students.

It's 7:59 pm Another @TJAlumniAG alum, this one African American who talks about being an "outsider" at TJ and how there wasn't a "diverse group" of students there. It's another slam on Asian students. They talk about implicit bias.

Oh my god. Brabrand again talks about how "students of color" don't feel welcome at TJ. It's the white washing of Asian students at TJ. We're just white adjacent to this leader, who is white. Support coalitionforTJ.net if you're as angry as I am. [e-mail]

Watch this to check out the opposition. There were 200 protestors at TJ on Sunday. There were protestors today at @fcpsnews. "Do you feel they have demonized you?" Yes, the crowd said. But they are standing up without fear and with moral courage!
