I’m afraid today’s statement by @RishiSunak fell far short of what is required to save jobs.

The SNP has repeatedly called for a full job protection scheme but today's half measures go nowhere near far enough.

The Tory decision to scrap the furlough scheme next month puts 61,000 Scottish jobs at risk and will leave many good businesses struggling to survive.

The forgotten millions, who have been excluded from financial support schemes throughout this crisis, will continue to get little or nothing from the UK government after today’s statement.

Yet again, Scotland has been treated with contempt by Westminster throughout this process.

The Scottish Government's calls to devolve financial powers have been completely ignored and the UK government has scrapped its budget without consultation - jeopardising Scotland’s budget

All of this demonstrates exactly why Scotland needs full control over economic powers.

By withholding investment, blocking devolution, scrapping the UK Budget, and threatening an extreme Brexit - the Tories are showing Scotland would be better off as an independent country.
