TWITTER MASTERCLASS on politcal -ISMS. My own attempts at trying to understand Biden-ism, Trump-ism, Marxism, Capitalism, Socialism, Fascism, and all the differences. One tweet per "-ISM". First, Marxism... (1/x)
Marxism: Differences between a boss (who accumulates capital generated by the work of others) and a worker (who is paid less than the value he or she creates) will result in class struggle and eventual revolution. Class differences can't survive in Marxism. Next..Socialism (2/x)
Socialism: A capitalist society (where a worker gets paid less than value created and a boss gets the remainder) but where capital is later partly redistributed to "even things up". (3/x)
Capitalism: Karl Marx's description of a system where some people do not create value but accumulate capital. This does not exist in real life. "Capitalism" is a Marx-defined word and not a real system that exists. Next...Innovation-ism (4/x).
Innovation-ism: The real source of prosperity and society improvements comes from innovation. Innovation is a response to all prior problem-solving technologies. Each new solution creates new problems. An economy improves as it supports solutions to new sets of problems. (5/x)
Liberalism: A belief that all should have equal access to opportunity and that all deserve human rights. A belief that multiple ideas that don't agree can be resolved fairly by a consensus and all sides will abide by that consensus.
Wokeism: A belief that some should have more access to opportunity than others in order to equal things out. At any given point the weakest voices (segregated by race or sex or preference) should have the most access to opportunity. (7/x)
Libertarianism - Decision making needs to be decentralized (individualism) versus centralized (government decisions) since a central body cannot make better decisions for the individual than the individual. (8/x)
Obama-ism - "Consensus" leads to prosperity. Even if a decision or policy is bad, if it is made with a group of decision makers it is still more likely to result in prosperity than a decision made that generates hostility. Consensus among nations creates globalism. (9/x)
Trump-ism - A leader makes a limited amount of decisions but is most effective making decisions unilaterally. Isolationist - prosperity comes from always making the best decisions for your country and ignoring the needs of others unless it benefits your group. (10/x)
Yang-ism - Innovation leads to a welcome prosperity but often creates new problems. Part of the increase in prosperity created by innovation-ism needs to be redistributed to ensure smooth transitions as innovations move faster than new opportunities are created. (11/x)
Fascism - extreme state controlled capitalism mixed with nationalism and identity politics. Hence "National Socialists" became Nazis. Italian socialists followed Mussolini, etc. (12/x)
Removing the people from the -ISM, allows one to separate the game of politics (the ads, the debates, the personal attacks) with the philosophy of governing. Understanding these systems simply, I think, is a better way to understand what is happening politically (13/END).

I'm hesitant to post this because I don't really like any aspect of the political system. But here is what I heard last night at the Must/Trump conversation and I'm curious what part of this people disagree with:
A) do more vetting at the border (as in legal immigration) to prevent criminals coming in.
B) Have an energy policy that doesn't depend on our enemies for fossil fuels while we continue to explore and innovate on solar/nuclear
what high-end equipment they need, how to get ads, great guests, etc. These are the wrong questions. Here's what you should do. (1/x)
1) START NOW!
Take out the recorder on your iphone. Interview someone.
Interview your spouse about all the things that are wrong with you.
Or interview a homeless guy on the street. You can do 3 interviews in one day.
Or call a wrong # and interview.
Just START! (2/x)
2) DISTRIBUTION: Go to a company that distributes podcasts
Like Libsyn or Omny. They take your podcast and send it to all the places that host podcasts, like Apple Itunes, Stitcher, etc. Upload your episode(s).
Three assets that can benefit from FTX's collapse: (1/x)
1. Coinbase
The most mainstream centralized crypto exchange.
People who are nervous (as many many are) will move crypto assets to Coinbase.
The 52 week high on Coinbase is 355. Right now it's 50 (the 52 week low was 44). (2/x)
2. Uniswap's token, UNI. The second largest DeFi exchange. If people move assets from FTX to a DeFi exchange the UNI token will certainly benefit. UNI's high was $40 and now it's around $5. (3/x)
FTX and Binance is a crypto soap opera.
This is a crazy story of love, hate, money, and we might not get to the bottom of it. What I say in this thread is speculative.
But here's what happened, what is happening, and the good and bad of what might happen to crypto. (1/x)
1. First off, CZ (CEO of Finance) and SBF (Sam Bankman-Fried) were friends in the past. They grew up in this industry together and CZ even invested in FTX (2/x)
2. CZ was born in China and his family moved to Canada
The China ==> Canada route is a well known path for people in China with money to get their money out. When regimes change in China a lot of people disappear. Watch the latest CCP meeting to see it happen live on tv. (3/x)
