I’m thinking about that Mr. Roger’s quote “look for the helpers” and the way people miss a key element in it. He was talking to preschoolers. It is a perfect message to preschoolers. But that is not the message for us, the grown ups. (Con’t)
For us it is “look for the helpers and do what they are doing” and “look for the helpers and if you don’t see any, YOU’RE UP.” it is our job to BE the helpers. (Con’t)
Now that the fires nearest to us have been contained I’m mobilizing my Girl Scouts to do some local helping. We will donate supplies being ASKED FOR at local drop off la and also we are taking apples and carrots to the local equestrian center holding 300 extra displaced horses

I framed the law of attraction to kiddo this morning as a magic spell & it super helped her anxiety. Yesterday she had a very bad day. This morning she was worried she would have another bad day. I started asking her the things she was looking forward to & she got grumpy (con’t)
So I told her it was actually a magic spell and she had to say “I am looking forward to ____.” For three different real things to start her day and it would help bring good things to her (truthfully it is helping her LOOK for things to be good. We notice what we try to notice)
Anyway then she shared her magic spell with her friend and they both came bubbling out of school today “THE MAGIC SPELL WORKED” so… we use the secret now I guess 🤣

The first Disney princess film ever featured a passed out girl who maybe was dead being kissed without consent while unconscious by a dude she’d never met, but okay
He’s just a few years older than I am… so the little mermaid… where a teen girl violently changes her body and gives up her voice to marry a man who kills and eats her family and friends as sport was a film he and his wife watched. & heterosexuality is very much a sexuality
Meanwhile much newer Moana managed to just be about empowerment and even bodily autonomy without any love interest. Her parents were heterosexual and married to each other so their orientation was still there

Another busy day today. I’m gonna be doing 25 minute work sprints all day so if you wanna jump in make your list of things you would like to accomplish (writing, housework, emails, that thing you have been putting off…) and get ready to join me at 9am PT.
I have walked kiddo to school and now I am gonna throw laundry in the dryer and make more coffee before we start. Do whatever gets you pumped
Okay babies. Grab your coffee or whatever beverage and let’s do this 25 minutes in your task without stopping see you at 9:25 PT

I have another overly-packed-with-deadlines day so I am going to be doing more little 25 mins of no interrupted work all day. If you'd like to do this with me, make a list of what you want to accomplish (housework, work outs, writing, reasearch, etc) & get ready to start at 9amPT
In the meantime, let's make some fresh coffee, yeah? Maybe toss in a load of laundry.
Okay, my first 25 mins work stint is going to be maintenance and logistics: answering emails, paying bills, etc. We'll check in at 9:25PT and see what we all got done.

Acknowledging that while I feel extremely behind on everything right now, after a few hours of plowing through on one deadline I will feel better. This week is much too busy, but I will get it all done.
Mommy's Law: If you have a child who spends several days home sick, and in-laws coming into town, every project you were awaiting notes/green lights on will come due at the same time and so will your child's school and extra curricular volunteer duties. Also all press interviews
