#thread This may surprise many, but one of the richest books of Christian Theological insight (in my opionon) is the Exorcist by Peter Blatty. The movie too has some strong theological insight as well. Here are some of my favorite moments from each.
"What we give to the poor is what we take with us when we die."
“What seemed like morning was the beginning of endless night.”

It’s #Monday, I’m boozing it up at a 4 seat bar, the #barkeep is a long pourer, and I’m all fucking set if I get something stuck between my teeth.👇🙃 #RandomThoughts #drinking #OutAndAbout
Shooting the shit with a friend, she’s proud to be doing well with her plants - unusual for her.

The key was a #video explaining the benefits of pruning.

She needs REASONS. She got them.

Apparently, pruning in a particular manner stimulates growth hormones.
Of course, this led to me initiating a discussion about the #movie I just watched on Hulu, called “The German Doctor.”

The main character was Josef Mengele. #ThisHappened

People, this is why I’m known in my circles as “The Black Hole Of Conversation.” SMTH

Good evening folks!

We're about to begin the last day of #Halloween #sale on #tarotreading

DM for more details
Again like the previous two days I will be doing a marathon #spooky thread here while waiting for customers.

This time I would love it if people could ask some witchy, pagan or otherwise magicky questions here and I'll do my best to answer or sign post to resources

I'll begin tonight's thread by saying happy #NaNoWriMo18 friends this thread is my writing for the day because I'm a rebel and I'm not writing a novel.

But enough of that.

I've got rocky horror picture show live @ London's playhouse theatre hosted by Mel Giedroyc on let's go!

How to Tell Your Neighbor Is a WEREWOLF #Halloween Edition

You should read this carefully 110 times:

– If you're young and haven't yet learnt this essential knowledge.
– If you're old but no-one taught you how to take care business.

If you want to be an ignorant, move on.
Wow, did you really think I'd do a thread about dressing like a clown?

This thread tells you how to be an adult.
1. Get a job or create another income source.

High school and college don't leave you enough time?

I worked 20h a week & did 3 majors in 4 years.

Others have done better than that.

Stop the excuses & get moving. Even a fast-food job teaches an essential skill - showing up.

Good evening folks!

It's now 7pm GMT and I'll be offering #tarot readings for the next 6hrs (2am GMT) check link below for details

But like last night while I'm not doing readings I'm going to be doing a Halloween/witchy/tarot thread here so enjoy!

I'd like to begin tonight's thread by showing something that means a great deal to me.

I am a celtic pagan and was raised loosely as such. For my 13th birthday I had a coming of age ritual and was given my first book of Shadows by my mom.

Here is the handwritten inscription image is a handwritten inscription in a book it reads.<br />
<br />
you are the new wave, my love.<br />
walk bravely, my child<br />
but, safely and for the benefit of mother earth.
image is a handwritten inscription in a book it reads.

"you are the new wave, my love.
walk bravely, my child
but, safely and for the benefit of mother earth."

These words fundamentally helped shape who I am and I hope they help someone else too.

In honor of #Halloween, here's a list of 31 of my favorite horror films you might not have seen, in no particular order:

1) Sleepwalker - Saxon Logan, 1984: A British comedy of manners, class warfare, and Suspiria-style fantastical slaughter. Extraorindary.
2) Litan - Jean-Pierre Mocky, 1982: Monty Python does The Wicker Man. A disturbing, absurdist nightmare unlike any other.
3) Abby - William Girdler, 1974: This deserves better than its reputation as "the black Exorcist." Extraordinary performance by Carol Speed. Sadly, I only know of a sole, poor quality 16mm print (and DVD transferred therefrom)

(THREAD) Hi, I’m Louise. I work in digital content here at the ECB and I love #Halloween. I persuaded my colleagues to let me take over the ECB Twitter account briefly to do my worst on this topic ;-) 1/11
I bought this pumpkin the other day in my local supermarket in Frankfurt’s Nordend (a neighbourhood in the north of the city) and had a go at carving it. #Halloween 2/11
It cost me 5 euros. I thought this seemed a lot, but it is a huge pumpkin – I could barely carry it – so fair enough… #Halloween 3/11

Anyone w/a radio show tonight wanna play "The Thing That Scares You Most" alongside "Monster Mash"?…

If you've ever wondered about the (sort of Christian) background/history of #Halloween:

Halloween’s origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in), when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth.
The Celts believed the night before the New Year (which they celebrated on Nov 1) the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities.
During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes (typically animal heads and skins) to ward off roaming ghosts. It was also a night of fortune-telling. By the 9th century Christianity had spread into Celtic lands.

2. I get a unease in my stomach. You see over the last 18 months I have had an expansion of great awakening in regards to the Spiritual Battle we are fighting above and on earth Light vs Dark. That battle while it has always been, has ramped up and not only do we feel
3. and experience it, many of us are called to be prayer warriors and light warriors in participation. Part of my expansion of awakening was learning about the depths and evil of human trafficking, pedophilia, satanic ritual and how they play into the Cabal, Illuminati agenda of

Ghosts bring to mind hauntings, otherworldly apparitions, strange noises in the night.

In ancient Assyria and Babylonia, ghosts populated a variety contexts, from the frightening to the mundane.

Here is a brief look at ghosts in ancient Mesopotamia to celebrate #HALLOWEEN
Akkadian word of the day is etemmu “ghost”, sometimes written in cuneiform with the Sumerian GIDIM (and related logograms)
In Mesopotamia, ghosts appear in personal and royal letters, in which they figure in prophesies, are blamed for misery, and included in oaths.

To an Assyrian king: “Her ghost blesses him (saying) as he has shown reverence to the ghost, ‘His descendants shall rule over Assyria!’”

While I'm waiting for someone I'm going to entertain y'all with some #tarot facts and fun oracle/fortune tidbits I've learned over the years

This thread will have pick up and die down as needed but hope you enjoy (DM for card reading info)

Okay first things first the origins of #tarot are widely disputed.

Some claim ancient Egypt others Asia while others still claim europe.

With all these different claims to it then it's no surprise that there are multiple kinds of decks.
Here's some of the most common #tarot types that I'm aware of although I'd love to know more.

- italo-portuguese or Tarocco Siciliano it's a 64 card deck and none of the cards have reversed meanings.
