#AirlineTicketRefund
I hope that the SC delivers a stinging verdict against the GoI, especially @MoCA_GoI@DGCAIndia for its dubious stand on refund on cancellation of tickets booked prior to lockdown. Utterly pathetic ministry which probably is cosying upto the Airlines lobby.
Civil Aviation ministry forgets that it is not independent of a large stakeholders - the voters.

A thread on Adi Sankaracharya and Totakashtakam
Few years ago, I happened to visit, Kanchipuram when I went to Kanchi Matam and got introduced to Totashtakam. #HinduHeritage #hinduism
This beautiful hymn is composed by Totakacharya, consists of 8 verses, of which the 1st verse is as under:
विदिताखिलशास्त्रसुधाजलधे
महितोपनिषत् कथितार्थनिधे ।
हृदये कलये विमलं चरणं
भव शंकर देशिक मे शरणम् ॥ १॥
Adi Sankaracharya had 4 primary disciples as under:
1. Sureshwaracharya ~ formerly known as Maṇḍana Miśra. He is the person with whom Adi Sankaracharya had a debate that lasted, apparently, for 17 days and won - as decided by Mandana Misra’s wife.
"I’m happy to have been part of a project to realize a century-old dream" said the rock mechanics specialist and Prof. of civil engineering at the IIS, and a consultant for the Chenab Bridge project.
A true hero, Ms. Madhavi Lata.
She has lost count of how often the mountain slopes flanking the Chenab river sprang hidden surprises, forcing her team into real-time redesigns as they wrestled to build the world’s highest railway arch bridge.
Through their 17 years on the project, she and her team embraced a “design-as-you-go” philosophy to build the 1,315m steel bridge, 359m above the Chenab.
From Ashes to Authority: Vikram Misri.
Story of Vikram Misri—a boy born in Srinagar on 7 November '64, into the serene, intellectual world of Kashmiri Hindus. His early life echoed with the sounds of temple bells and the scent of chinars.
Excerpt from an article recd on WA.
But that peace was shattered by a storm of militancy that swept through the valley in the late 1980s and 90s—a storm not born of the people, but of political poison fed across the border by Pakistan.
Like thousands of others, the Misri family was uprooted. But that did not deter him.
He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1989 - the very year many of his own were forced to flee.
Got it on WA and sharing it here. Credit to the original writer.
My father had grown old now and used to take support of the wall while walking. Slowly, his fingerprints started appearing on the walls—marks that silently told the story of his dependency and weakness.
My wife did not like this at all. She would often complain that the walls were getting dirty. One day, father had a headache, he applied oil on his head and used the wall as support while walking, due to which oil stains also got on the walls.
My wife got angry at me for this. I scolded father in anger, told him in harsh words not to touch the wall. Father became silent. There was pain in his eyes. I was also embarrassed, but could not say anything.
#HealthInsurance
Today @rvaidya2000 Sir, whom I respect immensely, has quite a bit of questions on Health Insurance and the companies doing scamming, let me take on and address few pointers:
a. RV: It is a scam - CK: It is not a scam. Period.
b. They also have 2yr waiting for many diseases:)) - - Broadly there are 3 waiting periods:
i. 30 days from the date policy is taken for any hospitalization - it is a preventive measure to ensure that no one takes benefit from existing treatments. However, hospitalization....
due to accident is covered from Day 1.
ii. There are some medical conditions that insurers exclude for a period of either 1 or 2 years - such as Cataract or Knee Replacement or Hip Replacement surgery.

I was making a business call and as I was going to leave the factory, the security guard informed me that rear tyre of the car had very low pressure and the Factory owner told me that there are places nearby to fix it. I wasn't too worried because I always carry a tire inflator.
I started my return journey and came across a small shop that does the work. Asked the guys there to fill the rear tire and after taking a look at it, he told me, "saab, yeh toh puncture hai. Isko teek kar dein ?" I said go ahead.
