IT IS ABOUT SALAAT (PRAYERS)

Read this very carefully & meditate!

It is a thread..

Allah commanded Issa (Jesus) Peace of Allah be upon him, to pray (SALAAT) while he was in the cradle as a baby. Now, imagine a newborn in his cradle saying, "..and He (Allah) enjoined on me SALAAT (prayer).." (Surat Maryam verse 31).

It is still that SALAAT!

Moses, peace be upon him, had an appointed with Allah in a place the minds cannot fathom its greatness, & he receives the greatest of 2 things:

"Verily! none has the right to be worshipped but I, so worship Me, & perform Salat for My remembrance." (Quran 20:14).

Still, SALAAT!

Abraham (Ibraheem) peace of Allah be upon him leaves his family in a barren desert, then says:

"O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in an uncultivable valley by Your Sacred House (the Ka'bah); in order, O our Lord, that they may perform Salat.."

Still, Salaat!

When Shu'aib, peace of Allah be upon him forbade his people from polytheism & economic corruption,

"They said: "O Shu'aib! Does your Salat (prayer) (i.e. the prayers which you offer has spoiled your mind, so you) command that we leave off what our fathers used to worship,.."

Do you not see what is used to identify righteous people?

Do you see what is used to glorify men?

It is still Salaat!

Sulaiman (Solomon) strikes the necks of his horses & their stems when they distracted him from Salat on time:

"And he said: "Alas! I did love these horses instead of remembering my Lord (in my 'Asr prayer)" till the time was over, & (the sun) had hidden in the veil (of night).

(Surat Sad verse 32).

With Allah as your witness! What is my reaction and your reaction when we get distracted from performing Salaat (by something)? Do we feel pain & regret, and then abandon that thing forever?

It is still Salaat!

Where did Zakariyya (Zachariah) peace of Allah be upon him received the glad tidings that he will father a son after he has reached an old age?

"Then the angels called him, while he was standing in prayer in Al-Mihrab (a praying place or a private room), (saying):

"Allah gives you glad tidings of Yahya (John), confirming the Word from Allah [i.e. the creation of Jesus, the Word from Allah ("Be!" - & he was!)], noble, keeping away from sexual relations with women, a Prophet, from among the righteous."
(Ali 'Imran, verse 39)

It is in Salat!

What is more esteem than this revelation?

"And We inspired Musa (Moses) & his brother (saying): "Take dwellings for your people in Egypt, & make your dwellings as places for your worship, & perform As-Salat, and give glad tidings to the believers."
(Yunus, verse 87)

Salaat!

The Disbelievers distracted our Noble Prophet, peace of Allah be upon him from performing Salaat Asr, & he prayed against them a terrifying one, "May Allah fill their graves & their homes with fire, the way they distracted us from SALAAT!"

And Salaat is the last thing our

Noble Proohet peace of Allah be upon him strongly recommend for us while on his sick bed before death, he said "SALAAT, SALAAT...".

And finally, "Glory be to You oh Allah, and all praises, I bear witness that there is no god but You I ask forgiveness & repent to you."
