This is not the first time PTM acts in that way. When some of their members visited Kabul in March, @a_baitanai visited the house of Noor Mohammad Taraki, a criminal mass murderer and Afghanistan's first Communist dictator.

Apart from Pashteen, PTM figures like @Aliwazirna50 regularly spread glorifying images of Najib and also Babrak Karmal, who was installed by Moscow after Soviet intervention. They also fed the narrative that these butchers were peaceful nationalists.
Both Karmal & Najib had close ties to Pakistan's ANP which can fairly be seen as PTM's predecessor. Najib, his chief propagandist Sulaiman Layeq and other PDPA figures used to be good friends of Wali Khan who visited Kabul while innocent Afghans were caged in torture dungeons.
All these people and groups consider themselves as 'left' but actually support the US war on terror narrative. KhAD crimes by Najib were ok 'bc it was against terrorists'. Bagram like torture and drone strikes against civs are being celebrated, also by Pashteen, Dawar etc.
Why is this important? 1. PTM regularly seeks attention from journalists and human rights activists re ISI/Pak army war crimes while it supports the very same crimes in Afghanistan. 2. Constant whitewashing of history leads to misinformation and no real reconciliation.
