1 - We’ve taken another look at @PugetSoundPSR, who published the original internet post that we were DM’d yesterday from an individual who has proven to be quite reliable.
PSR appears to be a quite a far right leaning organization, and that forces some questions...
2 - First of all, how does a small, apparently independent organization out of BC get leaked info on an Alberta based radio host?
Secondly, why does PSR have a ready to go theory for RJ’s departure, particularly one so inflammatory?
3 - @ryanjespersen has been a fixture in Alberta Talk Radio for quite some time. Why has his removal been so quietly done up until today?
4 - It’s no secret that the @UCPCaucus has held Mr. Jespersen in some contempt for quite some time, and with the recent UCP fundraising email that implied the media was an enemy we can’t help but wonder...
5 - What happened here?
It can’t be easy to push a high ratings host out the door, and yet that’s what happened.
We may never know, but with the seeming purge of progressive MSM folks who will use their massive platforms to question the govt...
6 - And with this leak coming from an independent far right media org that has a small audience, the question remains, who gave them the leak and why?

So about that "Contrarian" doc heading up Danielle Smith's other $2 million dollar COVID panel...
(Not the Preston Manning one)
The potential conflict goes a LOT deeper than just...
"He's contrarian"

The good doctor got himself into hot water in the early days of COVID when he made some blatantly false claims at an event caught on video that the govt was timing "lockdowns" (we never had lockdowns) for they knew admissions were dropping to make it looked like they worked.

The thing is...
AHS stepped up with data proving his allegations were completely fake and he was also condemned by the college of Physicians and Surgeons.
It appears the UCP have sent out an email and a survey to their membership…
On Bill 18?
Nope.
On disintegrating healthcare?
Nope.
Why it’s on the NDP Leadership race!

Question #1!
Fun with subtext!
“Look, all the NDP candidates represent a threat to your rights and freedoms, but which one is the worst! It doesn’t matter what you answer as long as you get the message!”

Question #2!
“Hey look, we followed up our hyperbolic subtexty question with a straightforward one, that means this survey is totally legitimate, see!”
Danielle Smith Declares War on the feds Super thread!
Live tweeting the Smith Presser!
#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
Smith is declaring that Alberta will be prohibiting the federal government providing funding to municipalities via ne legislation.
Smith says it's because Alberta pays more in taxes than we get back from the feds and federal programs are super bad, "like Pharmacare and dental care" (actual quote)
Smith says Trudeau doesn't know what his job is...
Smith says he should get rid of the carbon tax, fund reserve services better, provide per capita funding, he should develop economic corridors, support hydrogen, address the bail system and more.
We're gonna call this the start of the RCMP "We announced a presser yesterday but forgot to set it up until well after it was supposed to start" Presser thread.
Strap in, because this will be wild!

If you're looking now, this is the current link.
They deleted the first one they sent out after they broadcast an RCMP computer desktop.
Now the tech guy is sighing loudly again and says "well this is just my life".
RJ Sigurdson just released this press release entitled "No farmers, no food".
And there's A LOT to unpack here...

No for most people, it probably seems like this is the UCP trying to co-opt the "No farmers, no food" movement out of India where government policy changes targeted small family farms and gave tremendous power to large corporations.
/2
Now that in & of itself would be pretty gross.
Because the situation in Alberta, and the consequences of the policy changes in Alberta simply aren't comparable.
So for the UCP government to try & appropriate that would be pretty ignorant.
