Coun Pfenning mentions that several councillors and senior staff are wearing orange t-shirts to mark #OrangeShirtDay, which recognizes the children who were victims of the Residential School System.
Mayor Armstrong invites council members to come to the municipal building for a photo on #OrangeShirtDay (Wednesday, September 30).

Coun Fisher asks if there is any consideration for continuing streaming council meetings post-COVID. Dawn Mittelholtz (Director of Clerk's Services/Director of Information and Legislative Services) says this will be discussed later this week by her department.
Acceptance of the report regarding the Procedural By-law Amendment has been carried.
Patrick Kelly (Director of Finance) gives a report about the Development Charges Deferral Payment and Interest Rate

Coun Pfenning says she appreciates township staff's work on this and thanks them, with specific reference to affordable housing.

Correspondence: AODA Website Compliance Extension Request – Town of Amherstburg. This is in reference to websites complying with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act: aoda.ca.
In response to Coun Pfenning's question, Ms Mittelholtz and Mr Kelly say that the Township's site was built to be compliant, and an audit of it will be conducted to ensure that it still meets the requirements.

Coun Hallman congratulates Chiara Heard on winning Wellesley Idol last Saturday. She also mentions New Dundee Fishing Derby on Oct 3. She offers her condolences to the family of Glen Lichty, who recently passed.
Coun Gerber praises local organizations who have adapted their activities due to COVID. He mentions the Wilmot Terry Fox Run and the Wilmot Family Resource Centre.
Mayor Armstrong gives a brief update on his continuing anti-racism education, including reading and video seminars. In response to Coun Pfenning's request, he lists his sources.
