I have my flaws. I’m a bit overweight. My eyesight is poor. My right leg has been jacked up for decades and it’s constant pain (greater or lesser depending). I can’t carry a note in a bucket. But one attribute is razor sharp: my memory.
I don’t forget things. I can remember words and actions with precision. It isn’t vague. I remember the drive in the car to the beach with Mom and Dad and what we had to eat and what the old guy sitting next to us looked like. That was 1968. I was 3.
A bit of a curse in this is that every last mistake I’ve ever made is etched indelibly in my mind: as if it just happened. It’s a burden getting to forever relive the faux pas I committed in 1970. When I was 5. But, it is what it is. Why bring this up?
Because here and now in 2020 we’re being told to believe something which isn’t true. The polls and the experts are all on the same page about it: not just that Trump is doomed *but that they didn’t say this in 2016*. It’s a hell of a propaganda effort.
But me, Mr Memory, remembers. I remember 2016 as clearly as I remember cutting the cheese in 7th grade math. Both memories are equally crystal clear in my mind: and not just me, but what everyone else was doing both in 1977 and 2016. I remember every last one of you.
And just as everyone laughed at the fart, so was everyone *certain* that Trump *never had a chance* in 2016. The polls and the analysis and every last bit of reporting confirmed the assertion: Trump was going to get wiped out on Election Day. It wasn’t going to be close.
And while I had picked up some data which disputed the confident prediction, I tended to believe that they couldn’t all be wrong. That sort of uniformity of opinion could only come wrong if everyone was a fool or a liar. I figured at least 20% wouldn’t be.
So, I went to vote on Election Day, crossed my fingers and then relentlessly ignored the news until 4 pm Pacific. When I checked I expected to find data indicating a coming Hillary win. It took me about 5 minutes of looking at data to see Trump had it in the bag.
Certainly by 6 pm Pacific anyone with IQ above room temp knew it was over and yet *for hours* the Experts kept pretending it could change and confirm the confident predictions they had made *that afternoon*.
I was staggered! Honestly: I couldn’t believe at first how completely the fools had been suckered by the liars. But I at least figured the fools wouldn’t fall for it again. To be conned is no dishonor: to be conned twice by the same people in the exact same manner is impossible.
Or, so I thought. I’ve learned different. We now have the same fools saying the same things the liars told them in 2016 with the added absurdity of the fools pretending they don’t remember 2016! It is astonishing to behold!
Do you realize what mental gymnastics are required here? You know, for a fact, that you were conned in 2016 but now you’re repeating along with the liars, “Trump always had a good chance in 2016 but now in 2020 he’s doomed.”
FFS: you know that you, fool, said he had no chance in 2016. I remember you saying it. You remember, too. You did not forget. But now you’re going to tell me “I wasn’t actually wrong and I’m right now”. Geesh!
What will happen 11/3 is already baked in. The debates and ads and bombshells won’t change it: Trump is already re-elected or already defeated. Both he and Biden are known quantities and everyone has already made up their minds about them.
I happen to think that he’s already re-elected. No bit of data indicates any large number of Trump voters abandoning him and there’s plenty of data indicating that he’s picked up new votes since 2016. I expect a higher EC and pop vote total for him.
Could I be wrong? Of course! But if I’m wrong it’s because I misread the data, not because I listened to the same people who were wrong *all along* about 2016. This year I’ll start watching earlier than in 2016: I want to savor every moment of it.

For those saying Israel isn't our concern: it is. You're wrong to stand aside. This isn't just another round of the conflict. It is quite different. You have a moral obligation here as a human being.

I'll explain.
Had Hamas limited its attacks to the IDF - and they do seem to have caught the IDF with its pants down - then no matter how many soldiers they killed, it would have been completely legitimate. War. Even any civilians killed incidentally in such attacks would have been ok.
Israel still would have responded and I would be ok with them responding to such an attack. It is what you do in war. Attack. Counter-attack. So on. But this wasn't an attack on the IDF. They weren't seeking to pit strength against strength. They went out to murder.

The premise of J6 is the basic flaw of it: they are seriously asserting that Trump tried to overthrow the United States government. This *obviously* wasn't what Trump was trying to do. And to keep the absurd Narrative going, just like with Trump-Russia, all they can do is lie.
If you seriously believe there was even the hint of a thought on the part of Trump or his people that they could just muscle Trump into 4 more years, you're an idiot. The J6 people - and Trump - are patriots; they just wanted their questions answered.
You can assert all you want that 2020 was legit, but half of your own people believe otherwise. And half thinking it was cool *isn't good enough*. It has to be nearly universal acceptance of the results. To sh** on those who had questions was your horrendous mistake: not Trump's.

The resistance to MAGA is simple to describe; it is cowardice. Fear of change but far more importantly it is *fear of responsibility*. We’ve been infused with cowardice: instructed to wait for permission and that the government has to fly cover when not ordering us around.
We used to be a nation of people who took off into the West without so much as a by your leave and then did whatever the hell we wanted and then set up a government to ratify it. Now we fill out forms for permission to own not just a gun, but a car or home.
MAGA means the end of that: because a great America is an America of people with clanking brass balls doing whatever they please. This is terrifying: and those who have the widest yellow streak down their backs are fighting hardest to stop MAGA.

4 died in Benghazi and they arrested an obscure filmmaker to deflect attention from their failure.

This didn’t bother you.
They manufactured bogus evidence against Trump and the apparatus of federal law enforcement was set upon Trump and his people based on this pack of lies.

This didn’t bother you.
Various well connected Americans - including Joe Biden’s son - were given high paid, no show jobs in Ukraine in obvious exchange for influence on American policy.

This didn’t bother you.

They are most of them a combination of addict and insane. Most would probably reject any shelter offer and if you convinced them to take the shelter they’d rapidly destroy it. You are correct that no decent society should allow this; but are you prepared to do what’s necessary?
It isn’t going to just be spending money and building housing. You are going to have to compel these people: into the shelter you provide and in getting them off drugs, into what psych treatment they may need and then teaching them the rules of civilized life.
Being sane and civilized is not natural: it has to be taught and then enforced. These people either never were taught to be civilized or they forgot it in a fog of selfishness and excess. Bluntly: you may have to beat decency into them. Will you?

The Pro-Choice people are very much at the heart of what is wrong: greedy cowards who will destroy all as long as they think it’ll keep any sacrifice or suffering away from their door. Think about it: they want to f*** like crazed monkeys and have no consequences for it.
They want to go to school without paying for it. They want well paid jobs without earning it by years of apprenticeship. They want *their* healthcare immediate and free regardless of basic realities. They are black holes of incessant wants who want to pay no price.
Well, the price has to paid. It always has to be paid. Even God’s grace was purchased for a price, after all. God (or the universe, if you’re an unbeliever) has decreed there is no free lunch. Everything has a cost. You can push that cost to someone else, but that makes you shit.
