In 2016, we warned you all, if Trump was elected, we'd be screwed for generation because he'd pervert the Court.
Well, that happened, and you dorks who fucked around with your vote in 2016 are now big mad because Mommy and Daddy haven't fixed the mess =you= made.
1/5
What part of "screwed for a generation" didn't you understand? Did we stutter?
We're warning you now: If Trump is reelected in 2024, you'll lose everything you value, and there might not be an election in 2028. Or any time thereafter.
Are you listening this time?
2/5
I don't care what problems you have with Biden or with Democrats. I do not give a shit where you "draw the line." Trump will A) be far worse, and B) never relinquish power, so whatever goddam "line" you have will be pulled from the ground and made into a noose.

2) Insists leftists "made the difference" for Biden in '20 (what, you mean they =didn't= vote Blue before?)
3) Says he/she won't vote for Biden in '24 if certain demands aren't met
1/8
These statements can't all be true.
If you were a reliable Dem vote in both '16 and '20, are you so stupid as to think the stakes are =lower= in 2024?
If you voted Blue in both '16 and '20, how did you "make a difference" in '20? What did you do that was different?
2/8
If you're willing to let Trump win in '24, but weren't willing to let that happen in '16 or '20, In what ways did Trump improve in the last four years so that he's no longer a danger to you, to America, to the climate, to healthcare, to democracy, and to the world?

Suppose the Allies killed at least six million Germans during World War 2. (They did.) If that happened, should the Allies be accused of genocide?
No, because in a war, vast numbers of people die.
The Germans did attempt genocide, though.
Want to know the difference?
1/10
The Nazi Reich committed genocide because they had a policy of wanting to kill all Jews (and some other classes--people with disabilities, for instance). Intent matters.
Estimates vary, but the Allies killed at least six million Germans. Most of them were German soldiers.
2/10
The Allies, however, did not have a policy or intent to eradicate all Germans, and once the war ended, the mass slaughter of Germans stopped. Even so, during the war, the Allies killed horrendous numbers of not only soldiers, but civilians (ever hear of Dresden?)
We have a word for people who supported Hitler--not because he hated Jews, or was a white nationalist, or waged war on the rest of the world,
... but because he was a populist, or because didn't like immigrants, ...
1/4
... or gave Germans guns (he did that, he did not take guns away from Germans), or he promised to improve the economy, or he promised to Make Germany Great Again.
We have a word for those folks.
We call them "Nazis".
No one gives a single fuck what their reasons were.
2/4
I don't care why you support Trump. If you do, you're a fascist. You hate democracy. You hate anyone who isn't like you. You hate America.
That goes for anyone who doesn't vote for Biden, and for every Democrat on the ballot.
There's a reason Republicans are using immigration as a political issue and why they defeated the Senate bill that would have solved that issue. It's not merely that they think it's a winning issue for them to whip up hate and anger and racism. It's deeper and more horrifying.
🧵
They want Americans to think the president can unilaterally make decisions such as "closing the border" or arresting, imprisoning, and deporting millions of people.
They want us to think such actions are possible, legal and constitutional, because they want to do that stuff.
2/9
It's not merely "illegal immigrants" they want to extrajudicially arrest and imprison. It's anyone they don't like. Once the precedent is established that the president (=their= president, convicted felon Donald Trump) can do this in one area, he'll do it in others.

I've seen a lot of dorks complaining about hearing that "This is the most important election of your life!" because they've heard that every election since at least 2016.
Here's the truth of it: EVERY election is the most important election of your life.
Stay with me.
1/9
For too long, too many have treated elections as unimportant distractions from the truly meaningful things: video games, reality shows, hitting the bars after work, the Superbowl, whatevs.
So for decades, the majority of Americans paid no attention.

Life went on. It didn't go on smoothly. When Democrats held office, everything improved--your income, education, infrastructure, free speech rights, voting rights, LGBTQ rights, healthcare--literally everything.
When Republicans were in charge, all those things got worse.
