Product Management has evolved over the years from a generalist to a specialist field.

Every stage of the product needs a different product manager who knows what step to take next for the product to succeed.

A list of 3 types of product managers and what they are good at:
1 Builder

Responsible for driving roadmap for an existing product to build ever more useful, usable, & delightful experiences to serve the needs of their users. Their superpowers include truly understanding a user segment, their pain points, proclivities, & what appeals to them.
2 Tuners

Have an unwavering focus on a specific north star metric that are empowered to do everything in their power to move that metric up & to right. They are incredible at idea generation of potential tests and getting as many of those tests in the pipeline asap
3 Innovators

Absolutely love being on the bleeding edge of bringing new solutions to market that the world has never seen before. They love going from 0 to 1, from whiteboard to launched product offering, not waiting to see what future holds, but instead inventing it themselves.
