This might be the most remarkable campaign in US presidential history for one reason--the lack of any significant change since it was clear Biden would be the nominee. 
Other than Trump getting a small bounce at the beginning of the COVID shutdowns, the race has remained remarkably static. Has there ever been a presidential race with so little change like this?
Makes it seem very unlikely that this will change between now and election date. If so, the only hope for Trump is that the polls are undercounting his support
just checked--Reagan-Mondale in 1984 was actually much more unstable. Though Reagan's victory might seem inevitable from our perspective, Mondale was very close in the polls at the start of the campaign. Maybe Clinton-Dole in 1996 compares. Was Dole ever up on Clinton?
Actually--would bet that Eisenhower-Stevenson in 1956 is probably the next closest election with such little change . A re-run of the same candidates at 1952 during economic stability with a popular incumbent. Cant believe the polls shifted much during that campaign.
