I am trying to get a COVID test due to recent exposure at the White House. As of now, my appointment is next week. I will hopefully manage to do it sooner. This is my situation as someone in a major city and has great insurance.
I was on Air Force Ome with Hope and the president ten days ago. I tested negative last weekend. The idea of exposure at the White House and the president's rallies has always been scary stuff.
Meant to have these threaded in here ...
Someone suggested I wouldnt do DC drive through testing to avoid "little people." My main issue is they don't have clear appointments and wait times. That's hard with work for me. They're also not open all weekend. These things make the city locations harder for working people

I just talked to a source with access to Twitter's internal data who told me that the @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk conversation "was a negligible event with a small crowd."
I was able to verify this source had access to the data.

According to my source, the "conversation" with Musk and Trump "didn't even match the normal morning traffic" on Twitter.

"It was a ten percent bump over the normal afternoon or evening traffic," they said.
.@elonmusk blamed glitches in his Trump space on a "massive" DDOS attack.

My source said there was no attack.

"For a real DDOS attack to have any impact on infrastructure the scale of these systems, it would require a much larger spike in activity," they said.

The Iraq War was actually a major part of how I ended up @TPM.

Back in early 2004, I was a sophomore at @wheaton.

The legendary Texan columnist Molly Ivins came to speak at the school. Her talk was heavily focused on her critical reporting on Bush and the war.
Journalism was not a big thing at our school. I already knew I wanted to be a reporter and was incredibly excited that one was coming to visit the school — especially such a uniquely clear voice on the Bush administration at a time when that was rare.
I planned to go up to her after the event to try and ask a smart question. For me, it felt like a rare shot to get some insight into journalism and politics.

What I honestly can't understand about the anti-trans movement is why anyone would be fundamentally concerned about how someone else chooses to view or express their gender?
They can make it all sound reasonable and like they're standing up for women until you step back and realize they are simply mad about another person's choices.
I am a cisgender male! I am with a cisgender woman! That is my preference and orientation! The way other people choose to live and be has literally no effect on it!

I literally just quoted you at length. It doesn't need any complex interpretation. Your hateful fear was crystal clear.
One thing modern racist pseudointellectuals like to do when challenged on their awful, hareful arguments is completely backpedal by pretending there is oh so much complexity, uniqueness, and nuance behind their variation of saying people of color are dangerous and bad.
Another thing they like to do – which is the true mark of a pseudointellectual - is to latch on to a shred of data as supposed justification for their hateful worldview without regard to the quality, quantity, or context of the information. That's exactly what @ScottAdamsSays did

The Plain Dealer and USA Today have done this. It seems @WashPostPR @BostonGlobe and @chicagotribune have not.
The Plain Dealer's editor said, "This is not a difficult decision."

It really shouldn't be. cleveland.com/news/2023/02/w…
Dilbert is syndicated by @AndrewsMcMeel. I guess they are happy doing business with someone who claims all Black people are a hate group and thinks whites should "get the hell away from Black people."

I somehow fell down the rabbit hole of this site with absolutely weird charity offerings. This one is particularly nuts. charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/…
@nycsouthpaw would you like a steak with a side of Glomar?
If I were a top executive at a massive weapons company I might just donate an extra couple thousand rather than having a weird lunch.
