The entire #EUI went the extra mile to give new members of our academic community the welcome they deserve.
In person, virtual and hybrid…the welcome events had different shapes and forms considering this year’s special circumstances. 1/8
🔹Florence city tour
What better way to celebrate the start of a new academic year then by having a tour of the beautiful streets of our beloved #Florence. 2/8
🔹Welcome Reception in @ComuneFiesole
A safe and socially-distanced welcome reception for new researchers, fellows and master students with nearly 300 attendees.
No easy task, but the EUI pulled it off, with help of the stunning setting of the Teatro Romano in Fiesole. 3/8
🔹 The @MaxWeberProgram organised a hybrid introduction. Some new #MWfellows were present, while others joined virtually. 4/8
The Robert Schuman Centre welcomed its new fellows and professors in an informal gathering under the Loggia of Villa Schifanoia. The Centre expects about 70 new fellows in the course of this academic year. 5/8
On campus @STGEUI master students followed a class by Prof @KalypsoNicolaid in the garden of Villa Pagliaiuola, while the online students were very much part of the experience. 6/8
Our Law researchers and fellows got an introduction to the #EUIlibrary resources. The EUI Library is a vital resource for our academic community and nothing could prevent us from introducing it to our researchers! 7/8
Our Social & Political Sciences researchers enjoyed a typical Italian aperitivo as the SPS department organised a welcome under the Tuscan sun. A socially distanced toast on a successful academic year! 8/8
