Some good news. Today is the 1 year anniversary of our Nusayba's liver transplant. She had Stage 4 cancer. Thanks to a call out, an anonymous donor @ShawnZed stepped up & donated a piece of his liver to save her life. This is a photo of when Nusayba woke up & met her brother.
This is a recent picture of Nusayba rocking her princess dress and mask (she knows what's up). She has gone from a dozen medications down to just 3 as of this week. A huge victory. She's happy, healthy, fierce, tough, & weird as hell. She wasn't supposed to live, but here she is.
Please consider being a liver donor. The liver GROWS BACK. You can save a life. Talk to hero @ShawnZed. He's healthy & doing well. He saved a girl's life & now has a badass Mercedes scar. Keep rooting for @SarahAWildman's daughter Orli who just survived cancer & has a new liver.
Race and Violence as a Fox News debate? Great, I'm all for it.
1) Why does Trump underplay the threat of white supremacist terrorism, the #1 domestic terror threat?
2) How is he cracking down on Boogaloo Boys groups who killed cops in the Summer & other white power groups?
3) Does he still believe the Nazis and KKK who assembled in Charlottesville are "Very Fine people?" and "both sides" are to blame?
4) What's the strategy to crack down on white power extremist groups that have flourished? What "Law and Order" policies did he create, if any?
5) Does Trump denounce QAnon, a domestic terror threat according to his appointed FBI agent Christopher Wray? Why not? What is he doing to crack down on it?
6) Why did Trump support, praise and invite Marjorie Taylor Greene, a QAnon supporter and anti-semite, to the WH?
Democrats need a more robust Facebook messaging strategy. Right wing messaging dominates that space and is highly effective. People live in their own closed ecosystems. Twitter alone won't cut it.
The entire right wing media ecosystem is one of the most dangerous threats to our democracy & pluralistic society. It's incestuous, closed circuit & highly organized with its messaging. Fox mainstreams it, then Facebook & social media promotes it, radio & politicians amplify it.
A third of the country relies on this ecosystem for information. It's like Twilight Zone where conspiracy theories like QAnon (a domestic terror threat) run rampant. The majority normalizes it with "both sides" framing instead of treating it like harmful radicalized propaganda
After the 9-11 terror attacks, Muslims have spent 20 years condemning violent acts done by extremists they've never met. It's never enough. Our loyalty and patriotism is still held as suspect and our acceptance is always conditional based on our alleged moderation. 1/
It's not just Muslims who became the "enemy" after 9-11 as we still pursue our endless War on Terror, it was anyone who looked Muslim, including Sikhs, Christian Arabs & Indian Hindus. Hate crimes spiked, an entire Islamophobia Industry blossomed (read Fear Inc, our report)

After 9-11, "Islam" became the enemy & it was now a civilizational war. The West vs Islam, whatever that means, US vs the Axis of Evil, and those who were born and raised here like me became both "us" & "them." My only utility & worth is how I help US national security. 3/
My wife's at Gtown School of Medicine. Her colleague wanted @hasanminhaj to come talk to her class about storytelling. She said, "Well, I can't get Hasan. You want my husband instead?"
I am here for you, America, after @kumailn, Mindy Kaling, Hasan, Riz, @AliVelshi say No.
