I read the first sentence of this tweet, and my stupid brain thought "Maybe he's going to encourage people to get flu shots to dull the impact of the winter COVID resurgence."

You sweet, stupid brain. You know better than that.
The last time the U.S. saw 100,000 from the flu, Donald Trump was getting Vietnam deferments for bone spurs from a tenant in one of his dad's buildings

BTW aside from getting vaccinated, the CDC has been recommending for years that Americans do one thing in particular to slow the spread of the seasonal flu: wear masks.

We just didn't listen.

I hope thay the president and the first lady are okay and that this teaches the president, in particular, a valuable lesson about the importance of following the guidelines put forth by his own administration's health officials.
Trump is scheduled to hold a rally in Wisconsin on Saturday.

The move will make cars more expensive, less safe, and dirtier.

THREAD: Wilbur Ross is in the news, so here's your regular reminder that he's lowkey one of the most problematic and potentially criminally corrupt officials in Trump's cabinet.
For one, Ross possibly engaged in criminal ethics violations because in 2018, when he found out that NYT was writing a story about his dealings with a firm that has ties to Putin, he shorted the stock, then sold assets he should have already divested citizensforethics.org/press-release/…
And that's not all. Ross also apparently participated in a series of meetings with major companies that he and his wife held significant financial interests in, despite (again) having promised to divest the holdings
