Pelosi is about to be appearing on The View, where it is Joy's bday! Per the teaser, Joy will be unwrapping a "very special president"!
*present
Pelosi has not come on yet but meanwhile I am enjoying the banter with Whoopi announcing we are living in "cuckoo-crazy time"
Pelosi on latest Trump tweets
"It’s hard to see any clear sane path on what he’s doing but the fact is he saw the political downside of his statement of walking away from the negotiations ... He’s rebounding from a terrible mistake he made yesterday."
Whoopi: “It’s not easy when someone is in this kind of steroid high.”
Pelosi: “I wouldn’t go anywhere near the White House it’s one of the most dangerous places in the country.”
Pelosi repeated her suggestion made privately yesterday that Trump’s medications might be affecting him. “Also if you have the coronavirus it has an impact as well. So the combination is something that should be viewed.”
Pelosi calls for "an intervention" by people around the president because "something's wrong"
Joy says that the phrase “President Nancy Pelosi .. sounds really good”
Pelosi laughs a bit.
"I have no doubt the president in typical fashion will lie cheat and steal to win this election. So we're prepared for that," Pelosi says.
She ends her hit wishing Joy a happy bday.
Next up, find out what present Joy wanted and which superstar couple will help her unwrap it!

Pelosi on MSNBC rn -- she is keeping her mask on for the interview, which is not something I've seen her do in many previous tv hits where she pulls her mask down to speak.
Pelosi notes she tested negative on Friday (as we knew); says she got tested again today but hasn't gotten the results
Asked in this intvu, Pelosi continues to resist any kind of mandatory or routine testing for members or staff -- while saying she herself will now be getting tested regularly, and insisting it's available for those who need on Cap Hill
Pelosi says she has CR deal with Mnuchin to keep government funded
This CR deal to avert a gov't shutdown expected to pass House tonight.
What a turnaround from Friday night when talks collapsed, and yesterday when Pelosi released a partisan bill! For those few who are paying attention to this!
The bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus is releasing a $1.5 trillion proposal this am aimed at restarting covid relief talks. Includes new $1,200 checks to individuals; SNAP plus-up and rental assistance; $500b for cities and states …
The UI piece would extend benefits at $600 weekly, up to but not exceeding 100 percent of an individual's previous wage, through January.
States would have an 8-week transition period to get this in place, during which people would get $450 a week.
The proposal includes automatic boosters or reducers based on covid hospitalization metrics and vaccine progress.
The overall cost could increase by $400b by extending UI and more stimulus checks -- or decrease by $200b by reducing PPP, state&local, and rental assistance.
"Secretary Mnuchin I hope you will return to the negotiating table prepared to find common cause" Rep Clyburn tells Mnuchin as select committee hearing gets under way
"Mr Jordan I think you may have to unmute yourself"
"I thought I was unmuted I don't know how I got muted"
Went through this same thing earlier today with my second- and third-grade daughters' remote learning !
Mnuchin: "I believe a bipartisan agreement still should be reached" to increase UI, funding for Postal Service, PPP, etc
Mark Meadows says in Politico interview that he has not spoken to Pelosi or Schumer since talks broke down.
Says his staff reached out to Pelosi staff yesterday but, “I don’t anticipate that we’ll actually get a phone call.”
Meadows tells @JakeSherman that he anticipates Pelosi will hold out and get what she can in connection with Sept 30 government shutdown deadline
“We’re looking at other executive actions” Meadows says, when asked about potential airline furloughs
