Republicans hyping a vote-by-mail tutorial by outragedly proclaiming that there are naked ladies in it is ... well, let's just call it shortsighted.

Y'all understand that this isn't Imagine Take Two, right? That it's a primer on how to take concrete steps to avoid having your ballot invalidated, specifically in a crucial swing state where vote by mail is going to be overwhelmingly Democratic?

The more attention the video gets, the more likely it is that Biden wins Pennsylvania. Period. Thirst attention, outrage attention, making fun of Josh Gad for being fat attention. Doesn't matter. Fewer vote-by-mail ballots get invalidated, and Democrats get more votes.

Amy Schumer and Josh Gad ONE HUNDRED PERCENT understood that they were gonna get mocked for being fat because of making this video, and they also one hundred percent understood that the mockery was part of what was going to make the video effective.

I actually went looking for a sample Pennsylvania ballot when the "naked ballot" thing happened, figuring I'd shoot a nude tutorial for Twitter and try to get other people to jump on the bandwagon. Sadly, didn't find a useable set of sample images online.

I'm under no illusions about the number of strangers who are interested in seeing my unclothed upper body. But this is a situation in which any attention is good attention, because you're trying to show people how to do something that's easy to screw up but also easy to do right.

So yeah—if any Pennsylvania electeds or the @PADems want to shoot me a sample vote-by-mail ballot, my DMs are open. I promise to put it to good use.
