On 9 April, her father died in hospital of his injuries in police custody!
The victim attempted to immolate herself in front of CM residence for lack of police action against the accused and death of her father.
The death and the immolation attempt led to widespread outrage, after which an FIR was registered against Sengar.
The state government handed the case over to CBI.
On 13 April 2018, Kuldeep Sengar was taken in by the CBI for questioning.
Later, on the basis of the Allahabad High Court order, he was arrested and spent a week in judicial custody, and new FIRs were registered.
The rape victim's uncle, who had started a campaign for justice to his niece and victim's fathe, was also arrested in an 18yr old gunfiring case.
On 28 July 2019, the rape victim and her lawyer were seriously injured & 2 of her family members died when a truck struck their car.
The truck had blackened license plates, and the police officers assigned to provide security for the victim were not present, with the explanation that there was no space in the car in which the victim was traveling.

The PRV and ambulance arrived only after the victim's call.
The five men, who burnt her, also included the two who were accused of raping the woman in December.
Her last words to her brother, "please save me, I don't want to die. Those who have done this to me, I want to see them getting a death sentence"

At 11.40 pm on 6 Dec, she succumbed to her injuries in Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital.

I have seen Rajput men proudly blabbering about how women were treated in Rajput kingdoms.
Infamous Karni Sena also made a ruckus around the way rajput queen was portrayed in movies.

So I actually read & want to share the condition of Women in Rajputana Kingdoms (Thread). Image
1.Although the honor of women was much defined & matter of utter dignity to the Rajput’s yet they lived in an unauthentic & handicapped society.
The lower caste women suffered the animosities of feudal lords who looked upon them like vultures & preying on them with lust.
2.The Rajput women of low class were denied education.
The laws for women were very stingy. They were supposed to follow higher ideals in terms to their men and society.
They were limited to house and could not roam freely as men & were punished severely if broke any such law.

People calling for a hindu nation should know how the hindu nation in the past looked like for the lower castes especially dalits.

When Maratha empire reached its epitome and the dream of a hindu rashtra was almost becoming real.
The Peshwas were the real rulers of the empire. Image
The Peshwas were Brahmins of a particularly orthodox bent & infamous for their brutality against dalits & other lower castes.

The Mahars a low caste community were made to tie brooms behind their backs to wipe out their footprints & pots on their necks to collect their spit.
Although the first Maratha ruler, Shivaji, freely recruited Mahars in his army, two centuries later, by the time of the Peshwas, the status of Mahars was lower than ever.

The Mahars were forbidden to move in public spaces and punished atrociously for disrespecting regulations.
