A video of the anniversary event for Kabataang Makabayanvor KM, showing the connection of aboveground activist groups like the Kabataan Partylist of Sarah Elago, to the underground students' movement KM tied to the CPP-NPA.
In the Philippines, where @Facebook is popular, it has enabled a lot of people to connect with families and friends and meet new ones, do their business and express political opinions usually reserved to mainstream media.
The problem really comes from @Facebook PH fact-checkers who want to suppress political views they disagree with. Worse, they had kicked out the #HandsOffOurChildren page, by parents who want to recover their kids from the CPP-NPA, and pro- @TeamAFP pages
#HandsOffOurChildren has been able to open a new page in coordination with @TeamAFP and the National Task Force to Help End Armed Conflict. The AFP has also opened an official page in FB to educate people on the CPP-NPA problem.

This is the right track: Instead of @TeamAFP trying to regulate social media, which may go against free speech, it can use platforms to gather intelligence on online terror / rebel recruitment activities and foil them.
Watching this video, I saw the GMA News TV logo, which means this video documentary is legit. It is about the rape of a young NPA recruit by a CPP-NPA commander.
@Facebook has offered to reconstruct the #HandsOffOurChildren page. This is an admission that @Facebook Philippines was wrong in taking it down. Thank you.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines @TeamAFP is more than ready to quell a fresh wave of attacks announced by the CPP-NPA on government troops.
This message has been used to great effect in media for 3 decades: That the CPP-NPA attacks on the "fascist" government and communities are right and in line with the people's revolution. Why is this being challenged only now?
It has been easy for the CPP-NPA to legitimize its messages through mainstream media since the Anti-Subversion law was scrapped. While we agree that mere membership in a communist party is not illegal, the Communist Party of the Philippines has an armed group, the NPA.
All of the CPP-NPA front or affiliated organizations should not have been allowed into the Partylist system of Congress.
The scrapping of the Anti-Subversion Law was a confidence-building measure in the peace talks. But we realize now that its scrapping should have taken effect after the signing of a peace agreement between the CPP-NPA-National Democratic Front and the Philippine government.
Besides, we repeat: all organizations with ties to armed groups such as the CPP-NPA should not have been allowed into Congress as party-lists.
The @TeamAFP has been complaining that aside from their extortion or revolutionary tax in the countryside, which runs into billions of pesos a year, CPP-NPA front organizations have been using their Partylist funds for rebel operations and projects.
So it's no wonder that if they want to, CPP-NPA front groups can enlist celebrities to be the faces of their "causes" or propaganda through the mainstream media.
The CPP-NPA front organizations have long ago latched on to worthy causes of labor rights, agrarian reform, gender equality etc. But their main goal is not to have progressive change in these issues but to exacerbate conflicts in society and turn people against government.
Agree: Genuine protection of human rights has been the biggest casualty of CPP-NPA exploitation and propaganda. It's no wonder every "activist" caught with grenades, explosives and firearms, is a "human rights worker harassed and oppressed by government."
Exactly... The Armed Forces of the Philippines @TeamAFP has been hollering about this injustice by the CPP-NPA but why did we not listen to them sooner?
That's the standard line of defense when an NPA suspect is arrested: The court will rule on evidence.
It's propaganda war, so they have zero empathy for the foolish pawns they lure into their rebellion. They don't care about the students they took from their parents and have no real sympathy for Reina who is arrested for carrying their explosives and guns.
Women are favorite CPP-NPA couriers or delivery workers. Their gender easily fits the stereotype of a human rights worker. They look vulnerable in custody of soldiers and cops. The CPP-NPA can easily create a narrative of a framed victim with them.
Indeed the case is with the courts. President #Duterte won't intervene and disrupt a case prepared by @pnppio and @TeamAFP because that will be like going soft on terrorism. The lives of cops, soldiers and ordinary people are at stake in cases like this.

What the mainstream media conveniently overlook in their melodramatic coverage of this case is that she is accused of carrying explosives and guns which could have been used in terror attacks.
To the mainstream media, do not gloss over the seriousness of the charges against the alleged activist...

For every arrest and case filed by @TeamAFP or @pnppio , they prevent terror attacks and save countless lives. But this is hardly appreciated by media.

@TeamAFP and @pnppio have rescued young women who were turned into sex slaves in CPP-NPA camps in the past. It is now suspected that the father of Reina's Baby River is an NPA combatant.
The law may be harsh but it's the law. It is there to punish the guilty, preserve peace and order and ensure fairness and equality in the application of laws. Reina is subject to the same judicial system. Her supporters should just prepare her defense.
Good thing the United Nations has opted for technical assistance and cooperation in institutionalising best practices that can prevent human rights violations in Philippine government. The UN has a more balanced appreciation of the problems in PH.
Where's Baby River's father? The media can help dig this up. But no, it's easier for them to resort to melodrama, too lazy to do their job of investigating.

The beautiful faces of Liza Soberano and Angel Locsin are being cleverly used by the CPP-NPA front groups to latch on to legitimate causes to draw young people in and eventually enlist them in the "people's war" against the State.
The CPP-NPA front groups' tack is simple: Demonize the Government by blaming it for ALL the injustices in the world to motivate young people in joining the violent overthrow of State.
But the CPP-NPA knows it can't sell violence like a product on the shelf. So it has front groups like Gabriela that has legitimate causes to win the commitment of young people and pretty celebs as spokespersons.

Pretty soon, the youth they recruit to work on legitimate causes will be brainwashed to think that the status quo, the State and the prevailing society are so corrupt these must be eradicated and replaced with a communist euthopia - the CPP-NPA order.
There's never been a better time to fight and quell the resurgence of communism and Marxism in the minds of youth than today because their moneyed allies are not in power. Start with UP by retiring all professors and instructors with ties to the CPP-NPA.

"Cruel, inhuman and degrading?" OA naman ng NUPL. Video of the wake shows the jail escorts were being harassed and the histrionics were coming from the family and supporters of Reina. Good luck proving claims of "cruel, inhuman & degrading" treatment.
Determined and commanding enforcement of security measures, yes. But cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment? Definitely no.
It seems NUPL is eyeing administrative raps vs Celine Pialago for her comments on Baby River's wake under Section 4(A) of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, that supposedly requires officials to remain politically neutral at all times.
My take: Any good lawyer worth the Bar Exams can defend Celine Pialago on the grounds that she did not comment on the merits of Reina's political convictions or leanings but only on the behavior of several people that aimed to impede or undermine the job of Reina's jail escorts.
In fact, the hysterical people at the wake that blocked every move of Reina's PNP jail escorts can be charged with obstructing the work of duly assigned or authorized personnel of the courts. Luckily, the female guards kept their cool and nobody was actually hurt.
Pialago has apologized for a socmed post about Reina prioritizing activism over motherhood and has expressed condolence for the baby's death. But her comment is only a reaction to the absurd CPP-NPA propaganda that the gov't should be blamed for Baby River's death!
Celine Pialago did not touch on the merits of Reina's leftist leanings, thoughts or convictions. So, her words may have hurt but remain within the bounds of political neutrality, valid criticism and freedom of expression.
Besides if that political neutrality rule is applied on all government officials, then everybody in public service whether appointed, career, or elected, can be accused of making a political partisan comment, which is absurd!
The NUPL citing the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials is just a classic move by CPP-NPA enablers to use the law to weaken, constrain and undermine the State from saying and doing what is right and just on behalf of the nation's security and well-being.

Unfortunately, in most cases, descendants in privileged families do not improve on their "ascendants," as the children are spoiled & sheltered, and they tend to wallow in the shadow of their famous or great parents. Usually, latak lumalabas.
This theory of diminishing returns seems to manifest itself in this particular Remulla, who's not even aware of how foolishly premature he is in baring his true colors.
I suspect there's a bigger force pushing the opposition and mainstream media - both of the country's elite who hate Duterte and the rest of the Filipino people - to undermine the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police.
The mainstream media are deaf to him, but the public is listening to Eric's story about how the CPP-NPA-NDF uses front groups and celebrities to lure minors into taking up arms vs the government and to prop up its rebellion that has descended to terror.
