This is unbelievable . Seems @aroonpurie is not upset at being caught for Ratings manipulation and then quietly having to pay fine for it but he is upset at why this information was leaked! it would still have been okay if his channel was not busy in blaming Republic for fraud:)
This TRP war that is ostensibly about manipulating ratings but essentially is about rival channels not knowing what to do with Arnab and his popularity. This is not ideological. It is purely driven by economics. That is why Times Now, India TV, Zee have also attacked Arnab
Here is an unsolicited advice to all TV channels. And this is my dispassionate analysis of news media scene too. You will not be able to get Arnab if you attack his integrity. He is not going to give petty bribes to manipulate ratings. That is not him.
Arnab, whether you like him or hate him is a newsroom phenomenon. You cannot challenge that. He has patented a style that many people may not like but you cannot ignore his loyal audience across the country. You have to be blind not to see that.
First you tried to get him by adopting his style of anchoring. So we had Arnab lites in every channel. That did not work because he is the original and fakes will never be as good as original. So you all failed in that misplaced aggression.
Think how Arnab got here. He did not become Barkha lite or Prannoy lite or Rajdeep lite ( all were stars when Arnab started). Arnab was smart enough to know if he did that he will get nowhere. So he worked on creating his own image.
His journalism can be loud, crass at times, in your face, but he is not forcing anybody to watch him.He owns a private TV channel and people have an option not to watch him. But they do. So if his rivals try to get him by attacking his professional integrity, they will get nowhere
Best thing for Arnab’s rivals who are now fighting this TRP war along with friendly state governments, is to go back to the story board. Think how you can make your journalism count and don’t try to run down Arnab because you come across as sore losers.
Arnab is here to stay. His journalism is here to stay. You cannot challenge him by copying him or by becoming hit men of friendly state governments. Do your own job. Try to do it well. You might be able to pick up audience on the way :)

My earliest memory of my father is him writing with a black fountain pen deep in thought. That was his meditation and his prayer. A life dedicated to mathematics and poetry. Also a lifelong teacher who taught his students to find poetry in math #HappyTeachersDay2020
In middle of dinner,my father would forget he was eating and solve equations in the air with his fingers. He taught anyone who came to his doorstep. He would spend hours with his students outside classrooms. He knew real education was outside classrooms. #HappyTeachersDay2020
My father passed away a long time ago. Long before he could teach me what he taught his students. But his students haven’t forgotten him. Recently one of his students connected with my mom on FB and sent this message #HappyTeachersDay2020
Ultimately it all boils down to this: How far in history are you willing to go? Check the mischievous headlines in western media. They will go back 30 years but none of them are willing to go back further than that. Even after SC judgement they will not concede ASI report.
So today in India there are only two sets of people: Those who believe there was no India before 1947 and our history begins in 1947 and those who believe we are a continuous civilization of 5000 years and we cannot forget our civilizational memory.
For seventy years the small elite group that believes India came into being only in 1947 and before that was a bunch of warring princely states with no civilizational consciousness from Himalayas to oceans in the south won their game. They were so elite that they kept everyone out
There is an article in Deccan Herald today that is factually incorrect and based on some manufactured data claims that in J&k problems have increased after abrogation of Article 370. The data quoted in support of this is not data that can be verified but personal opinion
118 terrorists were killed in the first 6 months of this year and there has been a 48 per cent decline in recruitment according to this source that most liberals would like to trust. theprint.in/statedraft/is-…

Is that 3.34 minute video all that we have from @RahulGandhi after so much hype? I thought his foray into YouTubing would be more little more serious than his foray into politics. But seems Rahul Gandhi can be serious about nothing in life.
If @RahulGandhi indeed wanted to turn an analyst he needs to learn to speak for more than 3 minutes and coherently. He sets out to talk about India-China situation and gives his diagnosis in flat 3 minutes?? Needless to says falls flat on his face.
The question @RahulGandhi poses is why is China acting up with India now more than it has in recent past? I understand why he skipped 1962 and history around that. I would too if I was him. However, why has Rahul skipped 2004-2104 period?
Any analyst who tells you that internal reorganization of J&K and @AmitShah’s statement in Indian Parliament are sole triggers for current India-China standoff should retire from commenting and analyzing or reveal who they are working for.
First of all just because there was no loss of life on LAC does not mean the problems between China and India had resolved even in the slightest measure. China has never stopped provoking. India looked other way and was in comatose state up until now.
Modi Govt, given its massive mandate in elections, tried initiating the conversation on border dispute. But China was not interested. ‘Emperor’ Xi is even less interested. China wants to keep the border issue festering to use it as leverage against India.
Here is the text of the Phone call between External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar and Foreign Minister of China. Must be read carefully. Indian Foreign Minister speaks clearly, unambiguously and resolutely. mea.gov.in/press-releases…
“While there was some progress, the Chinese side sought to erect a structure in Galwan valley on our side of the LAC” I would pay attention to words “on our side of the LAC’. This is the tent that had come up and CO demanded it be removed and was attacked savagely by Chinese
“EAM underlined that this unprecedented development will have a serious impact on the bilateral relationship. The need of the hour was for the Chinese side to reassess its actions and take corrective steps.” Strong words again
