Secretary of Public Service Commission Ambassador Jonathan Wutawunashe announced that entry level teachers will now earn $12000.
US$75 to be paid today 14 October 2020
Total remuneration (salaries plus allowances) for entry level teachers now at $12 500.
Civil servants' salaries will now be paid on the same day with the COVID allowance.
Salary negotiations are still ongoing, and we are hoping they conclude.

Public Service Commission
COVID allowance, as announced by government, is running up to December. We await the outcome of the civil servants salary negotiations.

In the main charge, it was alleged that the appellant, Hopewell Chin'ono committed the offence of incitement to commit public violence as defined in s187 (1)(a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
In the second alternative, it was alleged that the appellant committed the offence of incitement to participate in a gathering with intent to promote public violence, breach of peace or bigotry.
