(1) Let's play "OUC's 395/695/295 Roulette"? The game where there are no winners. Whenever DC 911 sends a call to the 15 miles of 395/695/295, the dispatch is almost always wrong. The job of @dcfireems is to guess the real location where help is needed before someone dies.(more) 
(2) LISTEN: This afternoon, a frustrated @dcfireems battalion chief was one of 5 units sent to I-295 NB at I-695 in Southeast for a crash. After 17 minutes of back & forth with the @OUC_DC dispatcher the crash was found on I-395N in Southwest. (more)
(3) So, @OUC_DC misses it by 3 miles, dispatches @dcfireems to the wrong quadrant & wrong highway & wastes 17 minutes. What's the big deal? Apparently, not much. This happens multiple times a day & no one in charge cares. (more)
(4) LISTEN: There's at least someone besides me who cares help's being delayed daily to those needing it on DC's highways. @DildineWTOP with @WTOPtraffic talked about today's incident & has long focused on this problem. (more)
(5) This isn't just @OUC_DC's problem. It's a decades old highway signage issue made worse through the years. @OUC_DC compounds it with much of the 911 staff lacking an intimate knowledge of DC's road system & landmarks. If 911 doesn't know, how can they help the callers? (more)
(6) Emergency calls on these highways occur multiple times each day. It's rare @OUC_DC gets it right on the initial dispatch. It's just one of the many serious DC 911 problems being ignored by @MayorBowser @SafeDC & @charlesallen. What's it going to take to #FIXDC911?
