This is a thread on the most up-to-date data we have on the COVID-19 in Sheffield.
Cases are at 435 per 100,000. We are using 7-day rolling averages to build the best picture. The date range is from 6-12 October. Figures are constantly being revised and we try to be as accurate as possible at time of publication and this number may be revised.
Positivity rate are increasing, especially in hospital workers and patients (Pillar 1).
This is what you can do about it:
Keep your hands clean 🤲🚿
Keep your distance 🧍♀️<-2m-> 🧍♀️
Wear Your face mask 😷
To protect yourself and your loved ones, keep the spread of the virus as low as possible.
The more people you have contact with the more opportunities the virus has to spread and accelerate.
Being at “High” (tier 2) level means we have more restrictions.
...or get it from Sheffield's Director of Public Health directly in the video below.
A big thank you to everyone in Sheffield. The next few months will feel tough. We’re all feeling fed up and worn down but now is when showing patience, strength and #steelspirit will really count.
