1. Be Water.
It’s Bruce Lee’s saying. It becomes the core of 2019 HK protest. People believe there are countless solution that may be effective.
The adaptability is very important. Our aim is not to let the police arrest us and keep going until we have achieved our aims.

So we use a lot of tactics online and offline to make sure people all over the world are concerning about the issue.
2. Black bloc
Black bloc is an important tactics. We wear black clothing, masks, scarves, goggles, helmet etc. for hiding our face identities and avoiding arrest.

- As we wear everything similar, it’s difficult to distinguish between the protesters.
- The equipment can protect us from pepper spray, bullets (maybe)

Remember to wear nothing distinctive. It’s better that everyone wears same bands of clothes, bring the same brand of bag. The more similar people look like, the safer you are. Being one of the mass group is the safest.

Injury caused by suppression is common. FA is a must. So, we encourage people to bring FA kit. Materials including, plaster, sterile eye dressings, sterile gloves, scissors, sticky tape, alcohol-free cleansing wipes, eye wash etc.

Not to being injured by weapons from police, shields plays an important role. Anything can be shields. Umbrella, sofa, kickboard, mattresses, wooden board… anything. As long as you can hide behind them.

We do have human chain for passing the supplies to the frontline. And we have different hand signals for asking different materials.
Sometimes we will reserve a running path for people passing supplies by running.

The attack from police will cause panic. It may cause STAMPEDE accident as people will run for survive

Sometimes our may not able to connect the Internet because of the crowded. FireChat can be an useful app that help people for communication as it only needs Bluetooth.

Investigator/Sentinel play an important role in protest. They provide urgent information abt environment to ordinary people. Where are the police. How many of them? What weapon they are holding etc.

And it’s better to mark it on real-time map that people know the location of the police and avoiding being surrounded.

Avoid the sudden defensive attack from police. It can slow down the speed of running police, armored car and water cannon.

12. Counter-propaganda
Propaganda from govt can be influential. Therefore, HK people will do a lot for counter-propaganda, telling the truth to the world.

Aiming at organizing more groups and gaining supporters, we record the story, make poster, draw picture, give a speech, publish a book/news.
13. Everyone has his/her own position.
We all have different skills and identities. Make good use of your talent and courage. Find a suitable position for enduring revolution.
