I make like one video a month to upload to Youtube.
I recently became eligible for monetization but have to go through their vetting to see if I meet their "guidelines."
I don't expect to pass nor do I expect to profiy. I wanted to at least experience the process.

Once you get over 4000 hours they let you apply so once I hit the number I submitted the requested information.
Set up the AdSense account.
Then this.
I should "expect delays" due to global events.
Okay...
Anyhow, I started this channel as an experiment to see if I could get out of my comfort zone. It's been way more difficult for me than I anticipated.
After only uploading a handful of videos I realized how time consuming it was.
Btw, I was never much of a YT consumer. I only watched or subscribed to a couple of channels.
After spending hours trying to make my (very rough) videos I gained a whole new level of respect for those who do it every day.
I got busy after COVID. My ability to sit down and dedicate time to plan, record, & edit videos was extremely limited.
I tried to find a few minutes here & there. I tried to write out scripts. I tried drinking extra coffee. I even tried to loosen up with a few drinks.
I tried waking up earlier than the family. I tried sneaking off to record when they were watching movies etc.
I realized this will only be a hobby until I can manage to spend more "valuable" time.
Which kind of sucks.
There's just no way I can justify quitting my job. I don't even like what I do anymore but it's very well paying.
Not sure where I'm going with this but thought I'd share my experience & thoughts with everyone.
If I had the time to invest I'd follow the path that others have forged. Like @RedPill78
or @PoliticalOrgy by diversifying my content across platforms and launching a dedicated site.
Also, I have so much content stuck in my head that I should just start writing.
Thanks for reading this and letting me vent.
Please go out of your way today to thank some of the independent media folks out here trying to make a living.
They're amazing and I don't know how they do it.
Just sticking my toe in the water has been a shock to my system.

Daniel Jones has lead a helluva life. He even has a movie on Amazon (The Report) about his role investigating CIA torture while working for Diane Feinstein. We've known about his role in Spygate for years but I'd love to see the evidence before the grand jury if true.
Imagine spending over three years tweeting about influence operations, domestic propaganda, and regime change tools used against us by contractors & NGOs then finally seeing the media reporting it.
That's what it's like in our corner of Twitter lately.
