Steven Fletcher’s movement and Nick Powell’s positioning. Fletcher moves to the ball and Powell checks his run into the box to create space (yellow circle) for Fletcher. Fletcher then moves away to back post and blindside of defender. Excellent movement and anticipation! (3/5)
Collins/Souttar (not sure who it is!) takes up a position blindside of his marker, which enables him to sneak around the back and eventually get the header towards goal. Simple but effective! (4/5) #SCFC #Stoke #StokeCity
Smart from Powell to position himself into a lot of space (red circle) as the ball is bouncing around the box. Anticipates where the ball will bounce. In short, textbook movement to attack crosses and Powell and Fletcher’s intelligence wins the game. (5/5) #SCFC #StokeCity
