Was Imam Nawawi an Ash'ari?

A: He committed mistakes with regard to the Attributes of Allah. He followed the example of those who allegorically interpreted the Attributes of Allah.

Therefore, he is not to be imitated in this aspect.
One should adhere to the saying of Ahl-ul-Sunnah (those adhering to the Sunnah); confirming the Attributes and Names of Allah as they were mentioned in the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah.

One should believe in these Attributes in a way that befits the Majesty of Allah
(Exalted be He) without Tahrif (distortion of the meaning), Ta 'til (denial of Allah's Attr ibutes), Takyif (questioning Allah's Attributes) or Tamthil (likening Allah's Attributes to those of His Creation).

This means to work according to Allah's saying: (There is nothing
like Him; and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.) and other Ayahs (verses) of the same meaning.

May Allah grant us success! May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions!

The foolish equate sins to nullification of Tawhid and following the Sahaba, in this is a proof in their ignorance of the religion; that if a sunni salafi committed every sin under the sun they would remain upon the Sunnah for as long as they would not reject the truth.

May Allah subhanahu wa ta'la preserve King Salman and his Son, may Allah subhanahu wa ta'la guide them towards the straight path and aiding Islam,

May Allah break the backs of all the enemies of Ahlus Sunnah who wish to split the ranks, cause corruption in the land and will not
rest until all the Muslim lands turn to Syria.

If I knew I had a single dua that will be answered by Allah, I would make it for the ruler,if the ruler is rectified then so too will the land and it's people

Separating Iman from Actions,

Textbook Aqeeda of Murji'ah.

A niqabi who isn't committing a major sin is rewarded for her actions and not falling into haram is better than the unscarved woman constantly taking part in a major sin who prays recommended prayers...

Likewise,
A man who doesnt smokes is better than one who does due to the one obeying shaytan in the latter and killing themselves...

In both instances, jahl in Aqeeda Ahlus Sunnah is evident from whoever the original post was made by,

Imam is Speech, Actions and belief in the Heart
It rises with obedience TO Allah and decreases with obedience TO Shaytan.
