@cypheroftyr brought a problematic thread to my attention, which I won't bother retweeting here because I'm not trying to signal boost haterization. Nor am I interested in y'all dogpiling on someone who's opinion you don't and quite frankly shouldn't care about. But, here we go 1
D&D has been a part of my life for nearly 30 years, and I love it. I LOVE IT. I've been blessed to come to know the people behind the scenes, and while they have made mistakes-as ALL people do-I've seen the lengths they go to to clean them up and do better. What else is there 2
It's sad to see this BULLSHIT cottage industry of purity tests rising up, almost always from people who believe criticism is in and of itself a form of creation.

It isn't.

People make mistakes. I myself make plenty, all the time. This 1 strike you're out mentality is toxic 3
D&D is a game, and as such no one is being forced to play or watch it, but I myself have benefited personally and professionally from my love of it and connection to it.

I love Dungeons & Dragon and always will. If you have a problem with that, I GENUINELY from my soul DGAF. 4/
Now, another thing: The other nonsense I'm seeing swirling around @MotherlandsRPG.

We're all 'POC' but if we're not black enough, brown enough, Latinx enough, straight enough, gay enough, or ___________ enough for you, all I can say is 5/
To be a marginalized person is to be too much for some, and not enough for others.
@cypheroftyr
@DMJazzyHands
@GabeJamesGames
@ThatBronzeGirl
@KrystinaArielle
@MichaelCrits
@DeejayKnight
Are gifted creators and wonderful people. I will throw hands for any or all of them 6
And most importantly we've worked our asses off to climb to the top of this particular digital hill and have much further to go. It's a gift to get to play D&D or anything else, and it's a gift to be creating Into the Motherlands for you to enjoy. God willing it will keep going 7
So for those of you who love us and appreciate what we do, thank you. We literally couldn't do it without you.

And for those of you who feel the need to sit in the stands criticizing those of us on the field taking hits, be sure to buy the t-shirt on your way out. /End
P.S. Mama @RuPaul said it best y'all

Today's PSA:
The people who are in the streams you enjoy—or don't enjoy—are still PEOPLE. I've recently had high-level performers confide in me how bummed out they'd gotten over fan toxicity lately, and that's really a drag. 1/
So many times I've gotten 'oh, I didn't know the cast would see this;' well, if you wouldn't say something to a person's face, maybe don't say it at all. And it's fine if something isn't your jam. I don't watch some HUGE shows/streams. I also find no joy in ragging on them 2/
Which is an odd staple of geek culture: Trashing something to show how much you love it. You can spot a Star Wars fan by the venom they spew at the movies they don't like. Sports fans don't get off on trashing 'their' team, I've never understood why geeks seem to. 3/
