Hey @im_PULSE, what url did you link to in order to substantiate your claim that Chomsky “joined a notorious conspiracy theorist”? Surely you, in trying to scold a revered figure such as Chomsky, must have solid evidence to support such a serious charge. Let’s see the link. 🍿

Russiagate is a giant act of projection: intel officials & media stenographers, aka troll farms, have bombarded the public w/ disinformation & fear-mongering that sows doubts about US elections, all while accusing Russia of doing the same. Here's latest: nytimes.com/2020/10/22/us/…
Usually caveats are buried, but here it's 2nd graf: US intel officials "have pieced together details of what they *believe* are Russia’s plans." And guess what: "Officials did not make clear what Russia planned to do." Of course not! They only "Believe" -- they don't *know*. Image
More caveats: purported Russian hackers breached a network that -- guess what -- had "nothing to do with the casting and counting" of votes.

BTW how do we know they're Russian hackers? We don't! They're only "*believed* to be operating at the behest of Russia's" FSB. Believe! Image

Just did a search of @theintercept: this self-described "fearless, adversarial journalism" outlet, whose "founding principles" include "that whistleblowing is vital to holding powerful institutions accountable" has yet to acknowledge the OPCW Syria whistleblowers' existence. ImageImageImageImage
Even NYT has acknowledged the OPCW scandal, albeit in a laughable & disingenuous way. NYT buried it in a fawning profile of Western troll farm Bellingcat, & shrunk the trove of OPCW leaks -- including the original, censored report -- into a mere "email from an investigator." 😂 Image
Douma story is not one that @theintercept has ignored. Since alleged Douma attack of April 2018, TI ran at least 10 stories about or mentioning it -- most favorable to Trump admin narrative. Zero stories on the whistleblowers since their suppressed findings emerged in May 2019. Image

New @PushbackShow: Noam Chomsky warns that the Trump admin poses a unique threat to humanity, but its most reckless policies -- from killing nuclear weapons accords with Russia to imposing new sanctions on Iran -- are receiving far too little attention.
Chomsky on OPCW scandal: "US & its allies want evidence provided by some of the top inspectors to be banned... they want to ensure it's not discussed, meaning they have no confidence in their own conclusions, meaning the US bombing of Syria was undertaken on false presences."
"Whether their report is correct or not, I have no judgment. But what we do know is the US & its allies don't want it discussed. They don't want evidence discovered by the some of their top inspectors to be looked at. The OPCW is capitulating to this, which is pretty shocking."

In 2002, @GeorgeMonbiot said José Bustani, the OPCW chief ousted by US for challenging Iraq war, has "done more to promote world peace than anyone else on earth."

In 2020, US just blocked Bustani from testifying at UN in defense of OPCW's Syria whistleblowers. George is silent. ImageImageImageImage
