To all the new followers: welcome! Here you’ll find photos carefully colorized by myself at the expense of my poor wrist, dog photos because why not, photos of skeletons and mummies and all things related, and photos of naked soldiers.
I hope you enjoy the ride.
The only rules are: don't talk about AI, don't say that you enjoyed Dunkirk and don't say that cats are better than dogs.
And buy my books thanks very much
Dunkirk = the movie. For God's sake.
Ps: also don't make fun of me if I eventually say that I'm listening to Celine Dion.

This is probably the only photograph of nine reigning kings gathered in the same room ever taken. They were in London for the funeral of King Edward VII.
Windsor Castle, 1910.

Read and see more in the book!
The funeral of King Edward VII was the last time all of the great European monarchs would meet before the First World War.
This is how Ancient Greece really looked like. Here's a reconstruction of Curetes Street in ancient Ephesus.
Ps: A peristyle house on the corner of Curetes Street is known as the brothel, because in the excavations, a statue of Priapus with an oversize phallus was found there.
Fun fact: an underground tunnel was constructed from the Library of Celsus to a brothel.
#OnThisDay in 1895 In Paris, an express train overruns a buffer stop, crosses more than 30 meters of concourse before plummeting through a window at Gare Montparnasse.
Colorized for The Colour of Time. Read and see more in the book.
With the train several minutes late and the driver trying to make up for lost time, it approached the station too fast and there was a failure to apply the train air brake.
A woman in the street below was killed by falling masonry.
