@BangBangClick So, uh, let me explain something to you. Let's assume I want to play BATIM on my YouTube channel. You suggest that either I admit that I should be be allowed to have it revoked or be forced to pay some sort of license fee? (1/17)
That's the critical problem Alex. I can't afford that, and maybe creators do not want to just... waste their time, on a project they expect to get struck down. Many would see it as a pointless waste of time. (2/17)
And you, as a creative director to Google Stadia, Far Cry 4, Spore, etc.; I ask you this. Do you know where I first heard of Google Stadia? At the Game Awards. Which is a point of its own. (3/17)
I only watched the Game Awards because creators I enjoy watching played games that would be on display for the big prizes - @TheStupendium did his song Slide Into The Void; @Jack_Septic_Eye played Untitled Goose Game (sorry for the tags, but btw, thank you!) (4/17)
And the thing is, I wouldn't have known about Untitled Goose Game or Control with them. They introduced me to it. The same applies to many games I play or enjoy. @Alexa_licious I believe was my introduction to Hades; which is also really cool. And I don't like roguelikes. (5/17)
Or what about other games, like... Spore, which you were on. I first heard of Spore through... @dantdm, my childhood. I heard of @FallGuysGame through @markiplier. I heard of so many games through these content creators. (6/17)
Bendy and the Ink Machine, which was a favorite of mine for awhile. @themeatly might know this better than anyone, but a fanbase, and some free awareness, makes or breaks a game. I first heard of it through, uh... @TheMusicalGhost, actually. Which was weird. (7/17)
In that case, @TheMusicalGhost wrote a remix to a song, which introduced me to Bendy, as well as Build Our Machine by @DAGamesOfficial, which led me to @tinyBuild's Hello Neighbor. It also led me to @StudioMDHR's Cuphead, thanks to @MatPatGT's stream where he mentioned it. (8/17)
And with that to consider, where would it be? Because I heard of Bendy through YouTube, content creators. The marketing was either small or just not there; why would it, marketing's expensive. You should know this, your team paid for a dozen @thegameawards ads in 2019. (9/17)
@UnderTale, which is beloved - exploded with YouTube. FNAF, YouTube. These content creators saved it. And do you think these people could afford big marketing campaigns, or are you out of touch with reality? Because I truly think you are. (10/17)
I'm calling out @themeatly in particular again, because I genuinely would love if he could answer: When you released BATIM, could you afford the same level of advertising that a triple A studio could afford to spend? Could you? An answer would mean a lot. Because... (11/17)
If he couldn't, that would be it for Bendy. A genius idea, lost down the drain. And you don't get that. A studio relies on its money. Nintendo can spend 10K into Smash Ultimate, another 10K on marketing. And they can go at this ad infinitum. But some can't. (12/17)
So as for these licenses. Do you expect for people like @markiplier to PAY you a license to play your game for this free advertising? Because if I were a game dev, I would be more likely to say "Hey Mark, can you play my game? I'll pay YOU.". I don't think I'm alone. (13/17)
You'd kill an industry. You really would. Indie games? Not viable. YouTube content creators? Another timeline. People inspired to make their own creations, like I was by Doki Doki Literature Club! and @Bendy ? Inspiration erased. It'd be terrible... (14/17)
For most. But Nintendo, Ubisoft, EA, the triple A studios who rehash the game they've released for decades over and over? No impact. Good impact, you no longer fight Control for best art direction. No more arguing with Gris, or against Beat Saber. And you want that. (15/17)
You don't think people SHOULD pay a license to play games on Twitch and YouTube, I don't think. I think you WANT us to - because that just shot indie games dead. Originality to compete with Braid, or Little Nightmares, or Dark Deception, or Among Us or... do I keep going? (16/17)
@BangBangClick I want to hear your reply. Prove me wrong. Tell me one reason we should pay for publicity. Because if I had to say, you don't want us to pay. And that's exactly why you said we should. (17/17)

Thank you for reading, Alex. Have a wonderful night!
ALSO, to all of my followers, are there any content creators you want to suggest to me? I'm always looking for new channels to watch, so any suggestions are gladly welcome!
