I spent a major portion of my night thinking about our situation and also praying in my heart. I have seen generic suggestions like getting financially relevant, planning for political participation (getting PVC), and every other one that, if we are to be sincere, truly suggests

that we go back to our daily lives like Lekki didn't happen.

As nice as these generic suggestions sound, they are defeatist, nearly unintelligent and no different from the Nigerian solution that has always been applied to oppression.
Do we think these suggestions are new?

Do you think this struggle is new?
From '74 to '98, the Ganis and Tinubus have done tried some of these things? Gani's failed NCP and Tinubu successfully riding on NADECO struggle to become a tyrant?

Let's get real, do you think these men don't have a plan?

Watch them carefully tighten their grip on Nigerians. You have opened their eyes and they will begin to apply social engineering to make sure you never gather like this again, and they have the resources for this. These futuristic plans are not comprehensive at all.

This is what I suggest, regroup into an actual decentralized non political coalition and then deliberately split ourselves into different arms with clearly defined objectives like in military formation; foot soldiers, aerial forces, tactics and strategy unit, etc.

Legals, Strategy, Grassroot Education, Protests (foot soldiers), Funding and Recruitment. I am roughly looking at arms creating along these lines all dedicated towards the ENDSARS and ENDBADGOVERNANCE movement. Become smarter but DON'T GET YOUR FOOT OFF THE PEDAL to go pursue..

..some fairytale personal financial or political relevance. Have you looked at the economic plan or structure of your country? Have you forgotten how you have had to sell wigs, perfumes, hair products and clothes from China?

Have you suddenly forgotten that capital power is still in the hands of the Dangotes of Nigeria and how you almost always have to get COMPROMISED to get a seat at the table? Have you forgotten that they are skilled at weaponizing poverty if given the TIME?

TIME is your major asset now, don't let them completely have it. Taking our foot off the pedal hands them the time they so desperately seek! "Give us 2weeks and quit the protests, go home".

Starting from today:
-- Get the prominent voices amongst us to begin insisting that the ENDSWAT and ENDBADGOVERNANCE protests continue online and more aggressively there too. The hashtag and online conversation especially with the diaspora and international community..

..must continue.

-- Get a standby volunteer Legals/Intelligence unit that everybody, especially those of repute, who has participated in this protest can report to when the government comes for them.

This unit will monitor the government henchmen, press charges, provide legal advice and also feed the online team so they can create the much needed awareness.
Most importantly, they will pursue investigations into the extrajudicial killings that happened of recent especially..

..the Lekki genocide. Continue gathering irrefutable evidence from massive inquiry, collate them to use as hammer in the international criminal court while feeding your online warriors with snippets of it so they can aggressively continue the conversation online and drag the..

..the government for accountability. This is our major weapon and the government disregarding it is part of their strategy. The pressure is your weapon, mount it but be strategic about it.

--- Get a Strategy unit dedicated to studying the many plans of the government of the government, let this unit serve as the defacto central unit. Make the unit inclusive and full of the most strategic and brutal young minds that we have..

..let them study the political posturing of the government and come up with dynamic plans of engagement for the coalition. Pump up this unit with techies, political and economic analysts. Let them create plans, material, tools, and content for strategically galvanizing and..

..and educating the people (especially at the Grassroots).

- Get a Recruitment and Grassroot Education unit, let this unit contain a network of existing and new NGOs focused primarily on galvanizing and educating the people of the Grassroots who have been consistently used..

..to win elections. It is time to get them on board. Let us seize their love for WhatsApp and social media BC message, use it to create a loose broadcast network. Encourage the village people, especially the women, to put pressure on politicians because if they stand up to them..

..then our fighting chance grows.
Also, the unit should focus on urban and diaspora recruits. We need every resource.

..also to motivate others as a kind of clarion call. Going back home and dissolving the protests is a great disservice to the fallen heroes of this protest. Let the protests go on but we need to become more coordinated and clear.

-- Get more Funding. If this protest has taught me anything it is that money can be pulled by young Nigerians if they find the cause worthy. So, it is time to become more strategic with funding. Source for clean funding and also gather people to donate into a fund that will..

..eventually be disbursed covertly into investment vehicles preferably outside Nigeria and away from government scrutiny. We can't continue begging for money always so the coalition would need to raise a transparent and independent team responsible for generating money by..

..investing and hedging donated funds especially in FX. Get experienced and powerful financial advisers who sympathize with this cause and trust me we have them especially in Tech, I think.

These suggestions are ideas that came to me as I pondered and prayed in my heart. I am not saying that it is better than any idea that has been put forward, I am only trying to say that we need a clear template and I have made an attempt at creating one.

I think those generic plans are disturbing and premised on faulty assumptions about a clearly brutal State power.
We can choose to go the way of PVCs and whatnot as being suggested already but..

..when 2023 comes and the elections are rigged as usual we will be left with nothing but just one thing - PROTESTS, yes. You see what I am trying to say right?
