Today's featured book inspired by BAP upcoming show, George Grimm's The Doctrine of the Buddha. Grimm was disciple of Schopenhauer philosophy, then discovered Buddhism & became premier European writer on buddhadharma

(thread)
He founded the Altbuddhistische Gemeinde in Bavaria in 1921 and spent the rest of his life there in rural Germany. His book stands against the dominant trend to interpret the Buddha’s teaching as relativism or nihilism, and he destroys the misinterpretation of "no self"
Like Schopenhauer and Julius Evola he saw buddhadharma as an expression of pure Indo-European spirituality and sought to elucidate it for a contemporary audience Image
