I am putting out a picture thread on some of the greatest living scholars and Maha Vidwans of the Telugu regions. Each of them have performed countless Somayagams, Poundarika Yagams and so on. Just having their Darshanam is enough! What better day than an auspicious Ekadasi! 😊🙏

Sri Khambhampati Nageshwara Avadhani Garu of Vijayawada. A great scholar of Krishna Yajurveda who accepted Sanyasashrama to become the head of Sri Sringeri Sivaganga Peetham, an Upapeetham of Sringeri in Karnataka.

Not all of these Vidwans are around physically. Some have moved on to the next in service of the almighty.

The late Brahmasri Panduranga Ghanapaati garu of Hyderabad, a great scholar of Krishna Yajurveda and Vaishnava Aagamas. Especially Vaikhanasa and Pancharatra.

The late Brahmasri Kuppa Chalapathy Poundarikayajulu of Hyderabad. He accepted Sanyasashrama to become Sri Brahmananda Theertha Yatindrulu. He performed over 50 Poundarika Yagams in his lifetime!

The late, Brahmasri Madduri Yagnanarayana Somayajulu, a scholar of Yajurvedam and a Nithyagnihotri. All his sons are Nithyagnihotris.

The late Brahmasri Avadhanula Narahari Chayanulu garu of Manthena (Manthani) in Telangana. A Nithyagnihotri who performed numerous Agnichayanams.

The late Brahmasri Vishnubhatla Srirama Murthy Sharma Garu. Great scholar of Yajurvedam. He could recite the entire Ramayanam!
