BREAKING: A Solution To Nigeria’s Problem That Is Hardly Ever Talked About

Is it possible for the youths to completely take over in 2023? Yes it is, but they must do things completely differently from older generations. If you play their game, they will beat you to it. Image
Don't compete, make the competition irrelevant. Don't just create another party, a so-called Youth Democratic Party and begin party politics. You will fail woefully in your quest for a New Nigeria that works for ALL. Read on...
1. LEARN FROM HISTORY

27 years ago, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida annulled the June 12 elections, which was meant to restore democracy after 10 years of unbroken military dictatorship. As expected, such annulment was met with nationwide protests and agitation.
The protests became worse the following year (1994) when Gen. Sani Abacha arrested Chief MKO Abiola for declaring himself President one year after he won the elections. NUPENG and PENGASSAN joined the protests by going on strike.
However, Abacha successfully squashed all the agitations with brute force, and ruled with a fist of iron till he died in 1998.

The older generation failed, not because they did not protest against bad governance when they were youths; they did.
The only difference between then and now is tools at our disposal (ICT and Social Media), which makes communication extremely easy and fast. That's all... So why did they fail? Simple: they believed and focused on a WRONG assumption that once DEMOCRACY is restored,...
...if given enough time, things will turn out to be good. It was all about restoration of democratic rule. 21 years of unbroken democracy and we are worse off. Form of government means absolutely nothing to National Transformation and Economic Development.
Today, the youths are also believing in a wrong assumption that you just need to replace all the corrupt politicians with new and young leaders, and things will get better... They think that it's because current politicians are just a bad, wicked and greedy bunch.
Unfortunately, with the energy of the youth and their proficiency in technology, they will only cause greater and faster havoc UNLESS we do number 2... because those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
2. HAVE A NATIONAL CONVERSATION

Human beings all over the world are basically the same; same faculties, same needs. What then differentiates nations? Three things: Culture, Constitution and Configuration... Nigeria’s major problem is with the Constitution. How?
Modern nations are formed through a VOLUNTARY coalition of many smaller nations and peoples, joining their strengths and bringing their various identities under one overall National Identity. Therefore, a Constitution is the document that expresses the ways the people...
...have AGREED to live together, the rules governing their co-existence, with understanding and appreciation of their differences, all based on a COMMON ASPIRATION. You cannot cut corners when it comes to Nation Building; you cannot build a house without a FOUNDATION.
This is what Nigeria, an artificial entity created by an exploitative imperialist empire, has refused to own up to.

All ethnic nationalities in the geographical space called Nigeria had identities, and were INDEPENDENT before colonialism.
That identity and independence was obliterated. It was an ABUSE, which must be corrected. The mere passage of time will not cure it. Such identities shall gather at the table of brotherhood and negotiate the TERMS of their UNION.
Such terms and conditions, based on time-tested principles, will become the CONSTITUTION of a New Nigeria. We cannot bypass this process. Let me end with a quote from Chief Obafemi Awolowo —
“If rapid political progress is to be made in Nigeria. It is high time we were realistic in tackling its CONSTITUTIONAL problems.”

FLASH: 3 Lessons from US History That Can Transform Nigeria

1. DON'T COPY SYSTEMS, INVENT THEM

The US Presidential election 2020 has been very intense and competitive. We are reminded every 4 years of the weirdness of the way they elect their Presidents...
...through the Electoral College System, which no country has admired enough to copy. And that is exactly the point: systems are put in place to repeatedly deal with PRACTICAL issues affecting a group of people in a predictable manner.
The Electoral College System, for example, handled effectively the peculiar and practical issues the 13 colonies (states) faced at that time in electing a President. It is therefore foolhardy for any country to blindly copy it now. Unfortunately, Nigeria has copied a lot...

REVEALED: How To End Bad Governance In Nigeria Within 2 Years

If there's just ONE word with which you can describe and sum up Good Governance, what would it be? Think about it for a moment...
It didn't take long before the #EndSARS protests morphed into a call to #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria; hence, it is imperative that we really understand what good and bad governance really is. CLARITY is the first step to transformation and change.
When it comes to interpersonal relationships, LOVE is what sums up everything that makes for a healthy relationship. In like manner, when it comes to the relationship between citizens and government, JUSTICE, more precisely, SOCIAL JUSTICE is the word that perfectly defines and..

4 Reasons Why The #EndSARS Movement Can't Be Won In The Streets Alone...

1. WE ARE DEALING WITH A ROGUE ORGANIZATION

Let me make this very blunt. The Nigerian political class is inarguably the worst in the world, capable of extreme wickedness and evil...
Officially, our politicians are the highest paid in the world, and that, in the poverty capital of the world. Add that to the unofficial embezzlement of public funds, which is 10 to 100 times the official one, and you will get the true picture...
People who enjoy such humongous privilege at the expense of the people can NEVER do you well. Let this be very clear in our minds. They have mastered the art of deception so well that you cannot even imagine the terror they're capable of unleashing...
